I decided to steam some shrimp for supper. Meh. I’m no longer hungry, so there’s that.
**FCD **is going to Daytona tomorrow with our daughter and her bf. Sounds like the weather will cooperate and they’ll have a nice day. We, on the other hand, will freeze. rah.
In the good news department, I got a notice from my health insurance carrier that due to some new federal regulation that goes into affect on April 1, my monthly insurance premiums are going down. I’ll be saving $101 a month.
I paid some bills and then had to deal with some banking issues. Over a month ago I wanted to transfer some balances to a zero interest credit card. The credit card balance transferred but the loan did not. So the credit card company closed out the transfer and will take off the pending charges, then I can make the request again. My payments will be about the same but I’ll pay off the loan in half the time.
We’ve had snow off and on all day today. Neither of us needs to go out, so it doesn’t matter what happens out there. One day next week he has to take a test, but we’ll figure that out later. The cable guy is coming Wednesday, outside of that nothing else is planned.
After it stopped snowing, the sun came out. I went out & was walking on the sidewalk; it was like walking thru the @#$%&* Emerald Forest in the Wizard of Oz (when they tried to pick an apple & then the trees started throwing apples at them). The sun was causing the 3-4" of snow that had built up on the limbs to fall. I had snowballs falling on my head. Owww!
It’s Saturday. It was quiet. I was all warm and comfy in bed. Not even Taz was being a brat. So WHY WAS I AWAKE AT 5AM?!?!?!?
Yeah, I know: circadian rhythm.
As a result, I’m showered, dressed for sluggage in sweats and slippers, and I’m caffeinating, having fed the critters. In a bit, I’ll make some breakfast, then clean the cat box. ick. The main plans for today include building a couple of meatloaves for the freezer and making a big pot o’veggie beef soup. Sometime today or tomorrow, I need to finish our taxes. ick.
But for now, I shall surf and do my morning reading: The Dope, comics, and Dear Abby.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 48 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 72 and N.O.S. for the day. I have to be over to the church house in a little while for the big event this mornin’. Temp should be pushin’ 60 when the run begins and I am told that that is great weather for runnin’. I shall believe that. Anywho I’m hopin’ this is all over by noon. I foresee nappage this afternoon.
For now, I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification must commence. Rah.
Oh, yeah - it was 20° when I let Higgs out. We’re not supposed to get out of the 30s today. Stoopit weather.
One other weather concern - **FCD **was going to come home on Tuesday, but some models show a snowstorm along the east coast that day. He may have to come home on Monday.
This morning I’m running my first 5K in about 4 years. I have a cranky knee and one of my students kicked it on Monday. Hopefully it will not give me trouble. It’s only going to be about 23F. So, a brisk run it will be!
The dishwasher is swishing away. There are 2 meatloaves in the freezer. Higgs got to lick up the residue on the plastic tray that the ground beef was packaged in, so she’s happy.
In a little bit, I’ll get the beef started for the soup. I also need to clean the critter fountain today.
Awake at 0700 on my day off. I took the dog for his walk and cooked bacon in the oven for bacon and tomato sandwiches. Our neighbors grow wonderful organic tomatoes and right now is peak time. I have more tomatoes than I can use. I will take some to irk on Moanday for one of my clerks who loves them.
I have so much housework to do since I fired our maid. Hubby will help with it tomorrow so today may just be a rest and watch movies day. I will get the laundry done today so I don’t have to fool with that tomorrow. I have some country style ribs that need cooking and we have lots of leftovers that need to be et.
Our weather is fabulous with temps in the mid 70’s warming to 80F and clear skies.
