The Usual Mid-Summer Weather Bitching Thread

I envy you all.
This summer has been horribly humid and hot. It feels like stepping into a freakin sauna when I step outside. I cant get by without at least a couple of showers a day.

Yea it’s more “globally fucked up weather” than just “warming” as you can see from some of the responses here.

I have to second what **RTFirefly **said. It’s been rather rainy, but most days have been pretty nice for Baltimore. I just hope it carries over into August. Late summer is usually hazy, hot and humid; in other words, unbearable.

I’m not answering for Dale, but as one who lived in the high desert for years, yes, 18% is high humidity. In fact, if you use swamp coolers as a/c (evaporative coolers), they barely work with the humidity that high. It’s mainly that humid during the summer monsoon period, which lasts from about the first of July until September or so.

 This just makes me laugh. I’ve always lived on the East Coast, and I can’t even comprehend humidity that low. I think I’d love it.
Baltimore is just freaking unbearable in the summer (usually), especially in August, when the temp and the humidity are both in the upper 90s. Being outside when the humidity is 95% is like walking though soup.

The thing that ticks me off is that the grass allergy season has been particularly long this year - I can put up with sneezin’ season, but usually there’s a pay-off in nice weather and happy people. Fuck it - let it snow again so I can go skiing!
