The Venture Brother's appreciation thread

To celebrate Adult Swim rebroadcasting season 2:

Hank: And they kill clean! Don’t let dames get in the way!
Brock: Honestly, Hank, where do you pick that stuff up? I never see you read!
Dean: It’s weird, right?
Brock: It’s like he channels dead crazy people!
Hank: Do you think it’s a cry for help?

So what did Dr. Girlfriend (whose real name might be “Shirley”) say to the Monarch at the end of the season?

Is she Pregnant? A Post-Op? A Zoroastrian? Maybe a murderous moppet made her a mommy, mmm?

I think Dr. Girlfriend is going to pursue a solo career.

I think I work with the real life Dr. Girlfriend. She looks just like her and has a voice like a NYC cabbie.

My girlfriend looks a bit like Triana Orpheus, now that I think about it… but she smiles more.

OMG, this is TOO weird! As soon as I reached this post, that very same song just came on the radio!

And I can’t stop hearing it in Orpheus’ voice!

DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!!

Pregnant is the obvious, so that’s probably not it…I’m thinking she’s going to reveal that she’s related to Dr.Venture is some way, which helps explain why she wanted The Monarch to stop arching him.

Or maybe it will be like the first season, where after they had the cliffhanger, they used ALL the ideas us fans on the internet guessed would happen.

I think she’s like a female Brock and was assigned to the Monarch.

Ick, that’d be just a little creepy given the seduction plot. I always thought it was more likely that Dr. Venture and the Monarch were related - but the fact that they were in college at about the same time and lost their parents at very different ages throws some cold water on that idea.

I completely missed that.

HERE I am! Rock you, LIKE A HURRICANE!!!

Except it was Valarie Solanas in the Velma role, the militant feminist who tried to assassinate Andy Warhol.

Her “Keep a few men around for breeding and gas the rest” speech was apparently Valerie’s actual opinion.

I liked how they used the classic wacky cartoon sounds when Venture-stein is surfing around on Groovy’s body. And how he made a shoe from it, thanks to the sweatshop training tapes Rusty had been using on him.

Which would explain why she was with The Phantom Limb when Monarch was in prison. Reassignment.

She’s not with the Office of Secret Intelligence. If she were, I can’t see her responding to a cattle call from the League of Calamitous Intent to arch the Triad.
