You’ve mentioned the comic, and even though nearly everything is different, and even though the Governor has been shown to be a murderous ass, just mentioning the comic sends the spoiler babies into a hissy fit.
For those getting all butthurt, Glenn & Maggie were never captured by Merle and taken to the Governor in the comic book, so that’s pure speculation.
For the comics readers:I chose my words carefully. I know Glenn was captured by the Governor, but not ‘Glenn and Maggie’.
Merle still has a part to play, they just couldn’t kill him off at this point. Didn’t they (in coming attractions) show a shot of Maggie being held prisoner at Woodbury? If they shot Merle, that wouldn’t be happening.
I loved this episode - Michonne is such a bad ass!
I’m hoping this develops into a rescue mission with Rick’s gang and Michonne teaming up to get Glen and Maggie back. During which, they’re obviously going to encounter Merle and Andrea.
I agree that it was necessary to capture Glaggie to forward the plot and I don’t think Merle should be killed off yet. Especially since this is going to force Daryl to choose between Rick’s gang and family.
But, I’m just not happy about how the capture went down.
Also, how did Michone find the prison so quickly? Glaggie got there by car - no way to track that. Did they say something that Michone overheard?
And, badass or not, she’s gotta reek. Nothing like disemboweling a walker all over yourself to blend in.
Yes; when Glenn first goes into the store, Maggie asks him to “get that duck,” presumably a toy she saw inside, and explains, “A kid growing up in a prison could use some toys,” which Michonne clearly overheard (the scene is actually shot from behind Michonne, and we see her watching Glenn and Maggie). I don’t think it’s outside the realm of plausibility that Michonne was able to figure out where the prison was, starting by backtracking the direction from which they drove in.
You’re welcome. As for the nicknames, I’m generally against them, period. But I’m not the Message Board Hall Monitor, and I’m aware I can be a crank, so you’re free to ignore me.
May be worth noting for future reference that Michonne took a bullet to the leg from Merle, and she’s responsible for his bloodied (broken?) nose.
On other matters, what’s the feeling on Rick’s current state of mind? Did the “phone calls” help him clear his mind (so to speak) and move on from Lori’s death, or is he still dangerously close to losing it entirely? He at least seems to be able to interact with the others again.
