The Walking Dead; 4.02 "Infected" (open spoilers)

From all the pumpkinish effects we’ve seen on this show, there are anemic kittens who could manage such a feat.

With skulls like that, one could drive spikes into trees and exterior walls at eye height and the zombies would stumble into them and take themselves out.

That’ll be it, Pig?

Archer line.

Given the chaotic and unpredictable world-setting of TWD, teaching kids even the basics of “Walker-Disposal-By-Knife-101” is better, IMO, than letting them be helpless ZombieChow. Carol’s motivations are apparent to me, and I heartily approve. Everyone pulls some weight after The End of The World As We know It.

Trying to wrap the kids in a protective cocoon is unrealistic and doomed to failure, IMO.

So I’d be arming them with .22LR cal pistols w/suppressors (or better yet, scoped carbines w/suppressors!) after they pass Knife 101.

Well, when the kids go around shooting humans who are putting their weapon down, it’s maybe time to take the guns away for awhile. One of the kids I suspect, is the one feeding zombies rats and attracting more, so I’m not sure the kids in TWD world are all that mature. Making sure they can stay close and do what they are told might be Zombie World Survival 101. Then we can see how they handle the killin’.

And I don’t disagree. I wasn’t advocating gunnin’ them up and turning 'em loose. Integration (social as well as tactical) is key.

Again I wouldn’t disagree, but I wouldn’t entirely agree, either. It’s a screwed up world our protagonists inhabit, and the adults won’t or can’t always be around in every situation that’s possible (even likely) to arise. The kids will either be helpless, terrified little munchies for walkers, or or at least minimally prepared to do what’s necessary to survive.

Just a though if pigs can be carriers for whatever this lung haemorrhage sickness is could they also serve as carriers for whatever’s causing the zombies? Just imagine, zombie pigs!
