The Walking Dead; 4.04 "Indifference" (open spoilers)

Yeah, but it sounds lame in this situation. Too formal maybe. Comic books are exaggerated that way and I keep forgetting this is a comic book adaptation. Okay, chick with a sword, guy with a crossbow, cowboy sheriff - alright.

I don’t see Daryl saying anything like that now. We have seen him change after he was away from Merle’s influence. When he and Merle were on their own after Woodbury, Merle called Glen that Chinese boy and Daryl told him that he is Korean. I get the feeling that Daryl never really was like Merle, he was just trying to be accepted by his older brother by going along with the things he did.

It did bug me that when hunting Michonne in the woods Merle did not throw out one racial slur.

Ditto. While I generally like the show, there are a lot of problems with the writing over the seasons. Rick’s character in particular makes me cringe, though it was worse when there was both Rick AND Lori.

I hate that he is the main character, but I get around that by fast-forwarding through scenes with Rick (unless Carol, Daryl, or Michonne are in the scene too).

It is a bit clunky and overly formal, but there aren’t a lot of better choices. The board? The congress? The elders? The nobles? The chosen? Parliament? The elect? The leaders? The thing?

Possibly, but I’m of the mind that Rick’s going to either claim that Carol left on her own, or that she was killed. The truth will come out later, of course, but Rick has to know that telling everyone that he solved the murders, and decided on his own to exile the killer, will satisfy no one, and land him in hot water.

Well, she did say her leg hadn’t healed right, maybe it was barely attached and come off when grabbed, like a lizard’s tail.

Right, the writers weren’t on the same page on that one. Unless Rick was supposed to have turned over a new leaf by becoming a farmer, and recommitting himself to compassion for other survivors. He did start out that way, insisting on rescuing Randle from impalement on the fence, for instance.

My fondest wish is that the group bumps into an emerging society that has its shit together: a stable and competent government, an open-arms policy for anyone willing to work and obey a simple code of conduct, and pro-actively efforts to keep their area walker-free. They could even wear anti-zombie attire, instead of always going around with bare arms and thin fabric that’s easily bitten through. I want the survivors that we’ve been unfortunate enough to be stuck following to be positively shamed at how badly they’ve bungled things.

Oh man, I forgot about the doomed backpacker from last season! That was pretty cold of Rick, Michonne, and Carl. I found the scene darkly comedic in its own weird way, though…

Meeting Rick is a death sentence. You can survive for months and months but as soon as you run into this guy you’re curtains.

Or it is the only chance to stay alive. Every character on the show that is still alive has met Rick. :stuck_out_tongue:

And God help you if you’re black. The Highlander rule is fully in effect.

Well, not if that mysterious radio broadcast had a live person behind it.
Poor bastards… survive the apocalypse yet their time of Rickoning is at hand…

I’m just waiting for Rick to tell everyone Carol was killed and then bang she shows up again, that will put a lot of strain on his so called leadership.

They’d still have the problem of someone dying in their sleep and starting a zombie break out.

That would be awesome.

Heh.

Which they have already thought of, since they actually have their shit together.

Hell I wear a leather jacket and boots just to *watch *the damn show.
