Re: Zombies and fire
I’m re watching the series on Netflix now and I noticed in Season one there was a scene in which Carol’s bully husband was admonished for building his campfire too high.
And in Season two, Shane and the deer hunter guy used thrown road flares to distract a herd of zombies so they could sneak into a medical trailer and get surgical supplies for Caaaaarl’s bullet wound op.
Of course, I’ve also noticed a few other zombie characteristics in the first season that seem to have gone by the wayside.
Like Rick’s rescuer guy’s zombie wife who found her way home and had the ability to turn a doorknob.
And the tool wielding zombie who had the brain power to pick up a large rock in season one in order to smash down the door of a department store in Atlanta.
At one point in a season one chase there was even an implication that Zombies could climb ladders.
I attribute the season one situations to the writers just finding their way in the development of some rules.
But by the second season I would assume that their use of flares/fire as a zombie lure was pretty much canon.
