The Walking Dead; 4.15 "Us" (open spoilers)

WD comic book readers, without giving anything else away, is Terminus in the comics? You may Spoiler a “Yes” or “No” if you think it is necessary.

To answer your question:

No.

Hated this episode. Loved the last one.

The only reasonable dialog was when Maggie said that she was armed and confronted by zombies, then thought “what would Glenn do?” - and emptied her clip into the ceiling. Because Glenn is exactly stupid enough to have done something idiotic like that. What actually would have happened is that Maggie would have been asking herself, “Why didn’t I just turn around and run back out?” as the zombies devoured her flesh under a perfectly intact ceiling.

Glenn behaved like a complete idiot throughout the entire episode. Nothing he did was believable. It’s a hot day, he’s wearing freaking armor, and upon seeing evidence that Maggie is alive he starts running for her? She could have been days ahead. His first thought when they got to the tunnel should have been to go around because Maggie wouldn’t have been stupid enough to walk through a dark tunnel filled with walker noises when she could just go around.

The ‘scientist’ is a worse cliche than anyone on The Big Bang Theory. You want to believe that he’s not a real scientist because no real scientist would be like that, then you remember you’re watching The Walking Dead and it could be bad writing.

When they found the cave-in and saw what could have been an endless swarm of walkers behind it, the obvious thing was to turn around and go around. Especially when accompanied by a lame person. But no, Glenn’s going to try to sneak around them all - a plan that appeared to have an extreme likelihood of turning into a walker feast if the writers didn’t save him with a deus ex-minivana.

This show is so maddening - the occasional great episode keeps you hooked, then you are rewarded by being slapped in the face by bad writing and/or indifference.

Glenn said he wanted to go into the tunnel to be sure that Maggie was not among the undead.

if Maggie didn’t enter the tunnel she would have said so in her message to Glenn, placed right outside said tunnel.

The message never said that she went into the tunnel, either. And she shouldn’t have. No one with any uneaten brains would go into that tunnel unless there were absolutely no other options.

Maggie was also checking undead to make sure none of them were Glenn, so she had to go through too. Plus it saves a day of travel, if you can believe that.

Glenn’s running after Maggie is funny though. Like when he realized he’d been on the highway for three hours he takes off running.

I dunno, maybe he can 50 miles at a time.

Of course, but Glenn was thinking with testosterone. He tells the girl whose name escapes me, “I had to be sure she wasn’t in there.”

It reminded me of “28 Days Later” when they got to the tunnel.
“No, no. No, see, this is a really shit idea. You know why? Because it’s really obviously a shit idea.”

I don’t think there are any fans of post-apocalyptic fiction who wouldn’t think of the New York tunnel scene from “The Stand” whenever we see tunnels in any other shows - “No - don’t go in there!” I’d gladly go a day out of my way to not go through any tunnels in those conditions.

Where is the thread for the last episode?
