I wasn’t sure he was heading back at the end of the episode or not.
I liked how there was no subfloor to the church.
Somehow I was bored with this one. Maybe it was just me, though, because there was stuff mostly happening.
Once again, whoever writes tactical stuff should turn the job over to someone else. They love to have groups clump together. “Give up! We have you surrounded by an unknown number of people. Or at least confronted from a single direction by the four of us.”
And please stop having people be so stupid! Sasha is going to wander off to an empty part of the building and turn her back on a prisoner? Come on.
Liked how the episode showed events for both groups.
And, when Sasha heard that bald cop guy owed his life to Dawn, didn’t a warning bell go off in her head? Why wouldn’t she think that he gave bad intel to Rick’s group? Why would she then trust him and believe what he said? WHY?
I know - I was like, “Have you never seen A SINGLE MOVIE IN YOUR LIFE?!?”
I’m starting to really hate Gabriel. It’s one thing to be weak and not very good at things, but I think this guy is actively dangerous to the health of everyone around him - he’s a total liability to the group.
And Abraham - get over your sulk already! You think you’re the only one who has lost loved ones in the Zombie Apocalypse?!?
I think it was losing purpose and hope that brought Abraham down. With Eugene a fraud, there’s no reason to go to Washington, and a substantial number of people have died in vain.
I voted ‘Meh’, because that’s how I’ve mostly been feeling about this series - but that moment was awesome. In concept, at least. How come the attacker never seems to notice or seek to prevent our supine hero from groping about for the fortuitously placed blunt object that will save him at the last moment. It seemed a particularly egregious example, with Daryl nearly getting bitten twice before suddenly finding both eye sockets at once.
(Also, as I type, I wonder how hard a zombie skull is? Soft enough to be penetrated in a single blow when it suits, hard enough to have a significant impact on a healthy skull when required.)
I just binge-watched and I was so happy when they didn’t actually fall for the obvious ploy from the cannibals and I thought they were actually getting smarter and then Sasha goes and does the dumb.
Is splitting the cast a production and budget issue? They can obviously film each group simultaneously and they probably only have to pay people for episodes they are in. Rick was not in the last two before this one(or was it three?), so they save Andrew Lincoln’s salary when he is not in one.
I agree in principle. In this episode, the separate threads were really uneven. Maggie and Glen’s piece was especially slow. It started exactly where it had left off and two of the characters in it were motionless throughout. The showdown between Maggie and Abraham was the one moment of interest. It was a deadweight on the rest of the episode, and when the Atlanta piece got to the inside of the large empty warehouse, the whole thing came grinding to a halt, punctuated with stupidity.
Agreed! And he makes no sense. I mean how could anyone have really been that ignorant of the world outside for the years since the shit went down?
I know the show has done this many, many times and I know it has been called out in these threads before but the zombie suddenly lurching at Gabriel in the woods seemed especially grievous. I mean, it is day light and outside. How in the world did the zombie get that close unseen? They’re not exactly using camouflage or ninja skills. I know, I know… drama.
Someone just shoot Abraham and let’s move on. Even if they try a “He had lost all hope but finds new purpose” story line from this point forward it will be just blah… he is a terrible cartoonish character and is about as deep as a soup spoon.
And yeah… Sasha you’re an idiot. Total frackin’ idiot. At least Rick’s error in judgement can be understood. The captured officer did a great job manipulating Rick and the situation. Sasha’s mistake was just abject stupidity.
I don’t get something, didn’t Dawn give Beth the keys to the medicine cabinet and tell her to save Carol on her own? Why did she need to get that guy to fake a cough for distraction?
