So after Gabriel bothers to escape the church(!) he stands on a nail. A three or four inch nail. That somehow was standing on it’s end and did not sink into the earth under his weight, but somehow maintained it’s upright position and penetrated his shoe’s sole and on through his foot. Apart from ‘how?’ the other question is ‘why?’. What was the point the writers were trying to make? That he’s unlucky? Cursed? They needed to slow him down I guess but, this?
They should have just laid out some comedy rakes and had him step onto them like Sideshow Bob.
And Eugene and Moustache Boy immobile for almost the entire episode reminded me of game glitches where your character is facing a wall and for some reason you can’t move them so you have to reset. It was just dumb.
I agreed out loud with Maggie’s line - ‘It’s not going to get any better’.
Oh boy.

Hey, there’s a thought. If you raid garden stores and loot hundreds of rakes, could you surround your base with them as a zombie defense both effective and hilarious?

As for Gabriel, I expect sooner or later he’ll get trapped inside two vending machines.

The second time we saw ‘Morgan’, all alone and going crazy in that town, he did something like this around his building, with sharpened stakes. He could have used rakes! It must be horribly unpleasant, looking out to see moving groaning impaled zombies all around.

They made quite a joke of his character on Talking Dead. Something like: The guy with virtually no survival skills decides he has to “escape” from the only people who can keep him alive. He can’t even get out of the building without stepping on a nail, and he seems to know every Walker he encounters!

So we’ve been watching the marathon on AMC. ‘Crossed’ is playing now. I’d wondered before what the bible verses in the church were, and today I finally looked them up:

Romans 6:4 — We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father.

Ezekiel 37:7 — So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.
