When I saw her scaling the wall, the first thought I had was … ok, now how is she planning to get back in? The posts / supports she used to get out are not present on the other side. The only thing on the exterior, as has been mentioned earlier, are the angled supports. They wouldn’t be good for climbing unless they had holes & you had tools.
Have we ever had a proper account of Daryl’s pre-ZA life? We know that, as a young man, he lived in the shadow of his lunatic brother. He was interested in that book about childhood abuse. But, at the time of the ZA, he was an adult. It’s entirely possible that he was married, had kids, owned a business, or whatever.
Guessing Daryl’s pre ZA life was a game during the prison months; everybody guessed wrong. And he told Beth that the shack the took refuge in was not unlike the places he grew up in.
I doubt anybody in the group knows more, except perhaps Carol. And if she knows she won’t speak of it.
It wouldn’t (shouldn’t ?) be difficult to climb up the angled supports. Either hand-over-hand or wrap a leg over the support and pull yourself up. (Maybe Enid was a gymnast or poll dancer in her former life?)
Another possibility is that Enid doesn’t want to walk aaaaaall the way over to the front gate in order to leave the compound? It certainly doesn’t look like she was trying to hide her actions from anyone.
They’ll never acknowledge the angled exterior supports. They’re forced on the production crew by story-external necessities. Story-internal, they’re obviously a bad idea; best not to draw undue attention to them.
maybe to them she is, or they know what they are hiding, etc.
8 months isn’t “new”.
So far - this is the best thing for TWD - we’re actually wondering what the story will be.
We knew (regaurdless of Spoliers) - right off teh bat that the Gov was bad/batshit insane, that Terminus would not be what it was cracked up to be, etc.
This time - atleast for the moment - we have no idea where/how they are going ot take the story.
[ul]I nominate Darryl for next makeover[/ul]

[li]When Rick saw Carl outside the walls, why didn’t he say, “What the hell are you doing here?” He acted like Carl had left the town with him[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]I hope there’s a plumber in town. Someone’s gonna have to unclog Rick’s bathroom drain[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]Where did Rick get the Po-Po uniform from? He hasn’t been totin’ it all this time, has he?[/li][/ul]
[ul]
[li]Where are the townsfolk getting their food from? I was under the impression that store shelves are, by now, virtually empty[/li][/ul]
[ul]What is the housing situation for our heroes now? Does everyone get their own home?[/ul]
mmm
Regarding the food, Aiden said they’ve traveled a radius 53 miles out from their town. Northern VA was evacuated, so that’s a lot of stores & warehouses full of stuff. 50 miles from Alexandria fully encompasses DC & Baltimore, if they’ve explored in that direction. I’m sure they’ve got farming going on, too.
The incumbent Alexandrians gave Team Grimes two houses; they’ll split up now, and everyone will move into bedrooms rather than all sleep on the living room floor. If I had to predict, I’d guess that Rick, Carl, Judith, Michonne, Carol, Daryl, Glenn, and Maggie will take one house, while Abraham, Rosita, and the rest take the other.
When the camera first pans over the group all in one house, they show two people looking out the windows while the rest of the group is laying down of sorts. I assume that was to show they were setting watch. No need to show it again if that’s the case.
So what? I wrote that they’ll never acknowledge the supports, meaning the characters will never mention them in dialogue and they won’t become a plot point. The supports were forced onto the production crew for story-external reasons (probably building codes) but they’re not part of the story.
