Are we so sure Rick executed the doctor? I thought whats-her-name was begging him to put one in her husband to keep him from turning. I suppose if Rick did kill the doc he could always go back to the hospital where Beth was and invite the people there to Alexandria. But hey, that would make sense…
I’d like to think there’s more of a motive than this. I’m thinking they load up the walkers and use them to assault a community after knocking down the wall; that’s what was implied at Noah’s walled community (where Tyreese died).
I’m also thinking that monogramming the damn things doesn’t make them any more likely to obey or refrain from eating you. I mean, the rave idea is neat, sure, but there’s got to be a better way to get supplies than letting drifters bring them to you a bag at a time, and having to do extensive zombie handling along the way.
And would walkers have been as cooperative as to shuffle back in their trucks if they’d still been able to see Aaron and Daryl huddling in the car? Yeah, okay, it was dark. But I’d still not like to be the raider convincing a drifter to come out of the car and surrender. What if HE’S got a gun? With ammo?
Between the walkers and the maybe armed drifters, I’d just think this methodology has some flaws in it.
I’m still curious if the Wolves are just the two guys or if there is a larger gang. Those two guys really shouldn’t be a problem for a team like Rick’s, even if they are really good at Walker wrangling.
Depends, I guess. He didn’t kill Douchenozzle. He gave him a warning. That earned him a bullet in the shoulder, and a nice attempted murder.
After that, I’d have iced the bastard, and laughed while I did it. But Glen is a better person that I am, a point made in the episode’s denouement.
But it also hammers down that Glen ain’t gone feral. He has held onto his humanity and his moral center. Next season will tell us, I guess, whether or not this will get him killed…
The actor said the motivation was to make sure there were no walkers around for their protection. That is totally opposite of how it was shown on screen.
I was talking to someone else and the equated Glenn to Batman. You can’t kill him, but no matter what you do to him he won’t kill you. He is immovable in his convictions. I think it makes him weaker.
It occurred to me they have basically set things up that Rick basically has two people pulling him in different directions. A devil, Carol and an Angel, Michonne.
Carol is a weird case, and I’m not sure we’re supposed to agree with her motives and rationalizations all the time, even if it’s easy to cheer for her. The rest of the team collectively is there to keep Rick grounded. He might be the big daddy protector, but he’s always on the edge. Without his extended family, Rick would self-destruct pretty quickly.
I disagree. I never believed for a minute that Michonne or Glen would have followed through with Rick and Carol’s plan–especially with the “we’ll cut a few throats” bit.
I think they both wouldn’t have let it get to that point.
As for the “reset the traps” - we have no idea whats inside the building the trailers were in front of… its very likely a meca of good stuff to have (except bullets) and they know that most will go for the obvious first (the trailers) instead of entering a warehouse.
And - they’re psychotic- so , its fun - I guess.
As for Morgan - “life is to precious” - just like you never leave a walker walking - you don’t leave people alive that threaten you for your cup of coffee.
Sure, just pop out for a quick 600 mile trip to pick up a doctor who is already safe and secure in his fortress of no walkers (and fully equipped hospital) and bring him 600 miles north to the suburbs. That would make perfect sense.
We saw a few episodes ago that the answer is yes. When Eugene pulled the walkers away from the revolving door of glass in broad daylight. They could clearly see Glenn but peeled off to go after the noise.
Yeah, I noticed that, too - full daylight, two minutes later, full dark. Night sure does fall quickly around DC.
That must be what Daryl believes.
I think we’re about 99% sure it was Porch Dick who got a bullet in his head from Rick (after Rick thought about it and agonized over it for about 0.00000001 milliseconds). As I posted earlier, Rick was looking right at Deanna and Reg when Deanna said “Do it,” then he swivelled and shot someone over there, right where Porch Dick was.
Also, they mentioned it a few times on “The Talking Dead,” that Dr. Beater was dead.
I don’t know about bringing the medical folks over from the Hosprison (I’m still pulling for that, dammit!) - they left on bad terms from there, what with all the kidnapping and shooting and megalomania and medicine as a weapon, etc.
