But they did. In this very show, with Carl, a couple seasons ago.
He already de-zombified Mom.
How old is the actor?
Oddly, he seemed to bounce back pretty easily from capping his mom, though she was already dead at the time. But when he shot that first guy, Hershel was all “whoa, kid, you can’t do that” and Rick played along and presumably the audience was supposed to as well since there were no negative consequences, i.e. somebody dies because Carl wasn’t armed.
Or at least not that I can recall.
At the prison, Carl had shot a armed Woodbury combatant because he wouldn’t DROP his weapon, and because he continued to close on Carl and Hershel - while armed. Hershel believed the Woodbury combatant was surrendering. Carl didn’t. Carl and Hershel lived to fight another day.
In Alexandria, Carl closed on a Wolf he had shot to prevent the Wolf from murdering Ron. The Wolf pleaded (lied) with Carl not to shoot him again. Until - Carl was close enough for the Wolf to grab Carl and the rifle. Ron and Carl lived to fight another day.
I just watched the latest Z Nation. It’s turning out to a far more enjoyable show.
You know, that part upset me the most. I would have kept the tortoise for company. Poor tortoise.
