Except that the virus (or whatever) only affects humans. If it infected animals, things would get rather unwieldy. Especially with things like zombie mosquitos. Or with game. How long after you kill it until it reanimates? Can you eat it after it reanimates?
Better to have it attack only a single species. Otherwise… zombie chimps?
This may have been addressed as a peeve, but I’m not feeling like reading the entire thread. I just got done watching the ep on DVR, and one thing really bugged me.
This bunch likes to go about lecturing other people about survival skills and how they haven’t really been in the shit and don’t know how to survive like THEY can.
And yet, despite having a good mechanic with them in the person of Darryl, who basically built his own motorcycle in one of the past seasons, nobody seems to have the slightest clue as to how to start a car when the keys are missing. Seems like in a post-apocalyptic world, with cars everywhere, that would be a key skill for all of them to have, no?
Plus, most of the cars are probably bloody sludgebox automatics that can’t be pop-started
The best Zompocalypse vehicle would be an old diesel truck with manual transmission, and a biodiesel/WVO conversion can be pop started in a pinch, and can run on a wider range of combustible oils, like what you could render from walkers, maybe?
Am I the only one the feels that Glenn has been a little boring lately? He was lots of fun up until the point where the had to escape the prison and got separated. He was mopey of Maggie for a long time, and then when they finally reunited he just wasn’t that interesting any more.
Which is worse; dying of dehydration in your cage or having your caregiver suddenly eat you alive without any comprehension why.
I agree zombie animals would make things unwieldy (though Z Nation has zombie mammals) I wouldn’t mind finding out that some of our primate cousins can reanimate.
I’ve seen it twice now and don’t understand what the plan B was for the horn leading the walkers towards Alexandria. Rick sent Morgan back to check on the source of the horn. Morgan gets there fairly quick (he was the one who turn off the truck). So the walkers are very close.
Rick walks in a different direction, cuts his hand, and gets the RV (for some reason) while Michonne and Glen take the injured and end up in a town??? What was the purpose of going in that direction?
Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha continue Plan A with a full contingent of walkers behind them.
What were the details of the new plan? What walkers (out of the original horde) went where?
Yes I mentioned earlier in the thread that you’d think they know how to hot wire a car. If the batteries were all low (and time was not a factor) would it be worth wiring up multiple batteries in series?
One second viewing, there seemed to be a time discontinuity between last week’s ep and this one.
In last week ep, the last thing that happens with the Wolves is that the small group who gets the gun run out of the enclosure. But, in this week’s ep, Rick is still hearing gun fire form Alexandria just seconds before that same Wolf group invades his RV. Doesn’t jibe.
And it also occurred to me that anyone living in the DC area would think it odd, indeed, if you named a planned community “Alexandria” since there is an actual city in that area with that name. You might call it “Alexandria Place” or “Alexandria Corners”, but not just “Alexandria”. Wouldn’t happen.
Morgan did not turn off the truck - sniper guy did.
The RV was to re-heard the group of walkers that split toward the horn sound and move them back to teh main group with the others.
As far as teh direction for Glenn and crew - I think they felt that was the safest route back home - otherwise I’m not sure why they went that way other than drama.
That would increase voltage and provide the amount of current the least one had.
I would think they could find a standard transmission and bump start a car, save for theatrical purposes pertaining to the script.
No, sniper guy hesitated about getting in the cab with the zombie driver, he was clearly loathe to do the head-stabbing thing (or to get close enough to the bitey mouth to do it). Morgan appeared at the opposite door, gave the Z a thwack with his thwacking stick, pushed the body off the dash and hit the horn switch - while sniper guy watched.
I re-watched the final scene several times, and I have to say I can’t see any support at all for the idea of Glen surviving. It may have been the other guy’s intestines because he was lying on top of Glen, but there’s no disputing that Glen was completely engulfed in the walker mob. Once they finish tearing up Nicholas, Glen is the next layer in this party dip.
And why would we think they’re not tearing up the rest of Glen that’s not covered by Nicholas? There’s no way he’s going to roll under the Dumpster or whatever when he’s got dozens of walkers fully on him.
If they come up with some ridiculous way to say he survived, I’d lose a lot of respect for the show. I don’t think they’d stoop that low. Glen is dead.
