The Walking Dead; 6.14 "Twice as Far" (open spoilers)

A couple of episodes ago (when they meet Jesus) she had asked Darryl to find her an orange soda for Tara. She hoped the cooler would have something good, and she found an orange soda to bring back for her.

Will they bring it back for Tara?
“Just before she took a bolt through the eye, she got this for you.”
:dubious:

Where is Carol going to go? I mean, you don’t go off trying to find yourself in the ZA.

“But we had a gunfight and now it has a hole in it. Just like her head”

So much wrong with this episode

But just for closure, was Eugene patched up in Alex, or did he have to be brought to Hilltop.

Declan

Rosita walked down the road with Darryl. She commented “we shouldn’t split up”

I thought Rosita took the tracks and Darryl and Dr. Lady took the long road around. Rosita greeted them when they arrived saying something like, “Took you long enough.”

But then, it has been proven that I understand little of what I see on this show so…

Nope you’re right (this time :)). Rosita took the tracks. Denise went with Darryl, not wanting to split up.

correct - and Rosita went to take the road home - not the tracks - and had a wary look to her eye when Darryl went for the tracks.

Yep. And When Daryl and Denise got to the town, Rosita was there waiting for them with a “What took you so long?” question.

So now we have an actual example of Neegan’s group killing an individual as an opening gambit to their negotiations instead of just hearsay or threats. Remember, Mr. Burn Face has met Daryl he doesn’t know he’s the one who blew up all those bikers or killed everyone at the satellite. Does Team Neegan still think this group is morally equivalent to the Ricktocracy?

I was thinking undead baby, but yeah it was obvious what was in the sink.

Saviours or no Saviours the town doctor should not be allowed out of site of the walls under any circumstances short of a mass evacuation (in which case most Alexandrians are dead anyway.

Yeah, she had a severe phobia of blood.

I guess were supposed to think industrial accident, but it’d also be a great way to use zombies as a weapon or trap.

What was the deal with train tracks? Did Daryl simply not like them because last tracks they followed ended up in Terminus?

A more general case could be made to not walk down the middle of roads or railroad tracks because they are likely spots to get ambushed.

I’m just saying the tree line seemed a bit far. I’ll just have to accept it as part of the artistic license of zombie / horror media that anything that is out of frame is also out of the line of sight / hearing range of the characters.
For once, I’d like to actually see Rick’s gang give some actual advice to some noob they bring into the shit with them and not just act like more noobs:
-Keep your eyes out for ambushes / walkers
-Cover us while we clear this tree that “happened” to fall across the road
-No, we are not following the tracks because they are a good place to get ambushed
-Watch outside while we clear this room
-Stop wandering off
-Stop fucking around with that shit
-Check that car for walkers before you open it
-Make sure you are on a good footing before you let that walker out of the car
-Put that fucking soda down
-Let the team know before you pull shit like that
-Lower your voice
-Don’t look at us, look at the tree line
-Do, you can’t go out with us until you get more practice with the machete, the M4 carbine and the Glock automatic pistol

She’s going to walk into Mordor.
If anyone could, it’d be Carol.

And she’d come back with a pack of smokes and a ring on her finger.

They completely ditched their vehicle (pickup truck) right? How did they haul the doctor’s fat carcass back to Alexandria to be buried? It took all three of them to carry Eugene, which they show them doing literally right past her body. And he was alive and in need, so they would have had to come back for her body at a later point, if we are to believe that’s what they did.

I do love it when a long, moralizing speech gets cut short by the person being shot in the face.

And Eugene is a total dick, but he sure knows how to bite a dick.

Trust me, you’d still be able to cause the guy enough pain to wince.

You don’t seem to understand how dialogue works. Her response is addressing the concern underlying the question, rather than the exact literal question. The concern is it may not be worth it to go there. She can’t know if it’s been cleaned out, obviously (and why wouldn’t people know an apothecary has drugs? It’s just another, albeit less common, name for a pharmacy), so she’s addressing his concern by acknowledging that whether or not it has been, the cost to possible benefit of checking it out is worth it because it’s close by (i.e. low cost of checking it out).

If he sees Dwight again, he should taunt him by calling him Fun Size.

I voted ‘meh’. Can’t stand the stupidity of the characters. We’ve established that there are various hostile groups around, and these guys sachet along the road like they don’t have a care in the world.

And what did Denise say? You have to take risks to survive? And that includes opening up a car with a walker in it just in case the two year old cooler has something other than disgusting rotten food in it? What a stupid scene.

And here’s a little survival tip: when losing your transportation means walking miles through walker-infested territory, how about driving in a convoy? How many times do these people have to get screwed by a vehicle breaking down/getting stuck before they figure that out?

Oh, and why do you beed a bleemin’ factory to make bullets? Reloading cartridges isn’t exactly heavy industry. If you’ve got the gunpowder and the lead, you need about 6 feet of space and a few hand tools to start reloading. Find a gun store and grab a reloader. Were we supposed to believe that the huge hanging crucible was going to be used to melt lead or something? Are we reloading the U.S. Army?

And where’s he getting the powder from? Black powder won’t do. And he needs primers. Pretty tricky making those without blowing yourself up, even assuming you could find the mercury fulminate or whtever goes into them.

“Hey, there’s a (barrier/gang of armed men) down the road. Should we drive right up to it and then get out and stand around for a bit, looking at it?”

“How about for once we don’t approach the obstruction and just find an alternate route?”

“That’s crazy talk and I’ll hear none of it!”
