Eugene still had his tape recorder and mike running during his convo with Dwight, right? On the roof? Not sure Negan’s gonna like knowing that his weaponsmith had full knowledge of Dwight’s betrayal and kept it quiet.
I also am guessing it will be Michonne, because of the way the writers have prevented her from being badass for more than a year.* That way the viewer blow-back for the removal of that particular character will be bearable for them–people will be unhappy, but not ‘death-of-Daryl’-level unhappy.
But, yeah. Have to have a tear-jerking death in the mid-season finale.
*More than a year for viewers, not for the characters. How many years has Maggie been three months pregnant, now?? Two, at least, it seems like.
The baby will come out fully grown. Carrying a knife and gun. I am kidding, I agree someone will die next week. I am hoping Rick captures Negan and keeps Daryl from killing him too quickly.
It can’t be anyone from the flash forward we got on ep 1 can it? or was that all just Rick’s delusion?
Forget about who dies; I want to find out about the helicopter. Assuming it wasn’t a figment of Rick’s imagination.
As for who dies, would it be too much to ask for it be Negan?
Yes, it is.
There are eight more episodes in this season (next week being only the mid-season finale). Do you seriously expect the writers to come up with something other than ‘War Against Negan’???
Remember: Negan has to rot in that jail that Morgan built for him.
Ain’t that the truth. Maybe Negan in the comics was a lot more interesting (don’t answer that, anyone, unless you spoiler it), but he is just ruining the show. The Garbage Goths are good for a few laughs now and then, but Negan just makes me want to turn the show off. I don’t “hate him because he’s so evil”, I find him boring as hell.
Word.
Also, just how many hair stylists survived the apocalypse? Way too many people have awesome hair including Queen GG and her two-tone do.
Rick’s big plan: He risks his life and is willing to give up 1/4 of everything, because going to Negan with all the people from Hilltop, his place and the Kingdom as a show of force and demanding surrender just won’t work, but it’s a slam dunk if he adds a dozen stinky garbage people into the mix. Is that about it?
I assume that the dead upside-down sniper means that Negan’s people not only got out, but managed to find and out-snipe the snipers and escape the area without leaving a single body behind.
Daryl’s plan was stupid, as he should have forseen the possibility that if all the walkers streamed into the building, Negan’s people might be able to trap the, inside and go out the back way or something. But then, Daryl isn’t very bright. And apparently neither are the writers.
Boy, how about those model airplane special effects, huh? For a second I thought I was watching an old episode of ‘The Thunderbirds’.
He went for the trash goths because the kingdoms warriors got wiped out. They were the biggest force.
They all fit in one big truck. There are more gardeners at hilltop alone. And I bet they smell a lot better and know how to construct complete sentences.
Right. Like it would make more sense if we had any idea how many saviors there were. Last season, it seemed like there were hundreds. But Rick’s army has been wiping them out 50 at a time. So what does a dozen untrustworthy trash hipsters add to the mix?
I also think being trapped in a big factory surrounded by snipers with scoped hunting rifles under cover is a shitty tactical position even if there weren’t walkers.
Well, according to ‘Talking dead’, it’s no spoiler that there is a big surprise coming next week. It needs to be a good cliffhanger. The show really needs a pick-me-up.
No. Hilltop soldiers gone. Garbage Goths are many. Stupid Rick, but Garbage Goths not 12.
We take. We don’t bother.
“Good cliffhanger” has pretty much become an oxymoron for this show, because the general run of things is so poorly written that a cliffhanger is about all they’re hanging their hats on at this stage. Whatever the cliffhanger, it can’t compensate for the mediocrity of the seven and three-quarter episodes that came before it.
I love the show. I may be just too invested in the characters that I can’t see past that. I agree the writing was poor this time out, I think there is time to recover in the 2nd half of this season. Otherwise they may be doomed.
My guess, and it’s only a guess, is that the helicopter will be used to transport characters from FTWD to TWD and back again, or a one-way move from TWD to FTWD.
As for who dies, I’m assuming Coral is on the short list. I’ve been told by someone who has absolutely no knowledge of the inner workings of show that Chandler Riggs’s contract is/was up, and Riggs is supposed to have had his hair cut short. (He also told me to stop asking stupid questions about the possible use of a wig. He was buying the drinks, so I completely agree with him. )
