The Weird Dreamage MMP

Not OurRosie’s Potatoes.

It’s a recipe for scalloped potatoes that my mom got from her friend Rosie, and proceeded to make her own. Once, after my mom had passed on, Rosie called me to ask for the recipe!

The brownies with cheesecake layer have been baked. I’m waiting for it to cool before pouring on the ganache.

I just put these up on Photobucket:

Video one.
Video two.

cute pups!

Quick drive-by. Having a busy day.

Heard a report on the drought, before the fire started, I think. Sounds not fun at all. Hope it rains soon.

I had more, but I’ve forgotten…need to run. Will catch up later.

Hugs.

I’ve been busy LOL’ing.

Rebo, your pups are too cute! Thanks for sharing them with us all.

Been lazing about today; was going to make something in the crock pot (since I can see well enough to cut up again!) but that will have to be tomorrow. Seriously, I think I’ll make some beef-mushroom-barley stew or maybe some chicken white chili. It is fairly chilly here. I had a fun time with that Elvis feud, btw, Rebo, thanks!

I wanna go to FCM’s house for supper! Especially to have some pecan tollhouse cookies!!! (which I have no business eating …). I am enjoying my weekend, and especially enjoying reading books again. Woo and hoo!

Sending good thoughts towards Israel, hoping that the fires will be brought under control.

Special1 that’s horrible! Hope the fires can be put out soon.

BLT’s for dindin. Nummy! I also made baked beans for brunch at church tomorrow along with a gallon each of sweet and unsweet tea. Plus I emptied the dishwasher. No flies on me!

I am convinced that not even bacon can make [del]fart blossoms[/del] brussels sprouts taste good. ICK!

Tyler Florence’s recipe.

Rebo I remember watchin’ Tyler Florence do that and thinkin’ “Dude! Yer messin’ up bacon!”

I should go to bed. I’m not sleepy though. OYKW is snoozin’ away. I heard a loud snort a few minutes ago when I looked in. I’m not sure, but he may have inhaled the miniblinds.

“I’m not sure, but he may have inhaled the miniblinds.”

Back from babysitting. We all went so that nephew could hang out with Local Best Friend’s stepson. I entertained the 3 year old when she wasn’t being entertained by the boys.

Off to bed, I think…

We went to the local Christmas parade. Meh. The only good thing about it was they had a few old cars in it. Most of it consisted of homecoming court/princesses, really boring floats, and three bands: and two of those didn’t even play as they passed us. Sigh. I just can’t get into the spirit of Christmas this year. I’m even debating not decorating my office for the first time ever. I’m just not into it at all.

Alien, Nelly K. Beagle snores. Into my ear.

Rebo, I want a Dipsey!

rosei, I LOLed at your LOLs.

I got up this morning and my pony had half his eyelid hanging off. Ewww. The vet had to put staples in,and there’s no guarantee that it’ll heal. If not, we’ll have to remove the torn part of the eyelid. On the good part, my step-father fixed me pellet stove so I have real heat tonight.

StG

We had rain yesterday so the snow has largely gone and been replaced by ice instead. Last night we headed out to the pub for a friend’s birthday drinks, it was fun but I was on soft drinks after a severe overdose of wine and kebab the night before!

Today I plan to not leave the house. I will be making stew in the slow cooker for dinner tonight, and I have the makings of a beetroot poppy seed cake from a Nigel Slater recipe so that will take up a bit of my afternoon. Other than that, slothfulness will ensue.

rosie’s sig to all because it looks like we all need some of it.

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

Hope the pony heals. Germy. Yay for heat!

Up too early thanks to a stoopit cat who wanted *IN! NOW! OPEN!! *He doesn’t like being locked out of the bedroom.

I’ll warm me up some leftover quiche for breakfast. Turns out daughter doesn’t like shrimp quiche and spousal unit didn’t want any last night. So I’ve got tons of leftovers - yay for yummy breakfast!

Cold and windy out there today. Daughter and I need to make an early run to do the trash and recycling, since that fell apart yesterday. Then sometime today, we’ll do some more house looking. And I have to do some laundry. Good times.

My sister just sent us an invite to a combined holiday/b-day party - On January 8! My mom’s b-day is Jan 7. Sister is keeping her decorations up till then. I don’t think she realized that we’ll all be Chrismas’d out by then. Oh well - at least it’s the shortest drive of all my sibs - just 90 minutes.

Hugs, gropes, and gooses - take as desired.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’.

Today is Brunch Sunday at church. I took my already baked baked beans out of the fridge to room temp up so’s I can nuke 'em warm. I likes brunch Sunday. Lots of nummy foodstuffs to eat. NUM!

STG hope the pony heals up, poor thing!

Ok, need more caffiene and I suppose I should make some kind of brekkie so’s I can get OYKW to stir. Maybe some burly butcher bacon and scrambled aigs. Oh, the miniblinds survived.

Later Y’all!

G’morning all! I’ve had some coffee and some pumpkin pie yogurt (yum!) as well as a croissant, so I think I’m ready for things today.

STG, sending healing thoughts to the pony - but how’d the eyelid get injured like that in the first place?! Poor thing!

BooFae, sorry it’s so icy across the pond! It’s just cold here, and will be for the next couple of weeks. I think this is the effect of what they call an “Alberta Clipper.” I’m making chicken breasts in the crock pot today, good luck with your stew.

The husband of a couple I babysat for while I was in HS passed away last Monday - lung cancer. :frowning: This family lost their youngest daughter (one that I took care of!) back in June to an invasive and fast moving cancer, so 2010 has been an especially rough year for them. They have been in my thoughts and prayers a lot.

My eyes are feeling a little touchy today, so I may just re-wax most of the day. I’ll put the chicken and fixings in the crock pot and retire back to my bed. LOL Enjoy your day, folks.

**mwahahahaha **- my dastardly plan worked!! I lazed about - still in my robe, and **FCD **and daughter just went to the convenience center!

So I guess I should hit the shower now and get dressed. It’s really windy out there - first real windchill of the season. brrrrrrrrrrr

Incidentally, leftover shrimp quiche is good. Off to the shower with me now…
