swampy, if you want to mow some more, I’ve got an acre or so that needs attention!
I don’t have a problem with Firefox. There’s a tiny little line in the lower right corner that says ‘ignore warning’, and I get through after dealing with a mildly annoying second screen. I rely on my multiple layers of real security to catch bona fide malware.
Oh, Eeeeeevil One, while you’re in the 'hood mowing…

swampy, are those cheese thangs cheese straws, by any chance? Cause if they are, I’m coming to the cave to scarf the leftovers. You’ll just have to make more for OYKW.
Mooom, I want to be reincarnated as one of your critters. Apparently, they have a more luxurious life than I do.
doggio, you missed out not meeting Mrs. K. She’s as much fun as kopek.
It’s off to the grocery store. I used the last of the coffee beans this morning and without the fragrant, delicious, caffeinated nectar, I shan’t be able to get anything done next week.
I mean waste water from the RO filter. It would seem that salt water would kill the bacteria in the septic tank. Obviously, it does not.
Waste water from the RO goes to the same place. And in the hundreds of gallons of water in the septic tank, 30 gallons of salt water every other week doesn’t seem to have much of an effect. I’m pretty sure the bacteria are all doing just fine.
Just finished some studio time. I have 14 pieces ready for the kiln, 2 dog food dishes that I just threw today, and 6 or 7 other pieces that I need to glaze. And if needed, there are 2 pots that got chipped edges the last time I did a firing - they’re standing by to be redone if there’s space.
I expect my sweetie to call within the hour and tell me he’s at the VA state line. After he calls, I’m going to take the towels and sheets off the clotheslines. I don’t want to be out there when he calls - don’t wanna take a phone with me. So I’ll surf a bit till I hear from him.
The laundry is in and folded. My sweetie should be home by 6:30 or so. We’ll have a little over a week till he has to return to Ocala - he’s thinking about going on his bike next time.
I have accomplished all the mowage I wish to accomplish this weekend. Speakin’ of which, you can tell it’s a not so hawt day out as 'twould appear every yahd in da 'hood has been mowed today. If one steps outside one can hear the sound of mowage in the distance.
Cheese thangs have been made. [del]The Spoiled Brat[/del] OYKW is busy scarfin’ down the ones I put aside for him. He says he’s spoilin’ his supper and dang proud of it.
Red cheese thangs are properly called cheese crisps. They’re kinda like cheese straws. Here’s the recipe from The Mumper Recipe Blog.
swampy, if you see a large blonde woman pull into your driveway, break out the cheese thangs! They sound delicious. (and this is the first I’ve heard of this blog. It’s bookmarked now.)
I irked for a half day today and came home and took a nap. Irk is interfering with my sleep time.
Hubby is still in GA so I am unsupervised. I’m making a bacon and tomato sandwich for supper cause it’s good and easy.
No plans for the rest of the weekend except sleep, sleep and more sleep and taking care of my critters.
Spousal unit is home. Pizza has been ordered for supper.
His mom’s surgery is the 28th, his bro is having back surgery on the 29th and his dad is having a procedure (in Ocala) on the 30th. I expect he’ll be staying there the whole time. But I’ve got him for a week anyway.
Damn!
Since we don’t have money to get groceries right now I busted out the powdered milk. The kids have used it without complaint.
For dinner I made steamed rice. I then raided my pantry and fridge for ideas on what to make to go with the rice. I had frozen chicken and Thai peanut sauce powdered mix. So I made the sauce with powdered milk, water, butter, curry powder, soy beans, soy sauce, garlic powder and prayer. I threw the frozen chicken into the mix and simmered until the chicken was cooked. My husband had seconds.
Pizza was good. Especially since I didn’t have to cook. I think I’m going to get into something comfy and knit till I get sleepy.
MWAH!
Apes sometimes made up on the spur of the moment with what’s on hand dindins are the best. Still prayin’ things get better for you all soonest.
OYKW grilled burgers for dindin. We had burgers and chips. 'Twas good.
Also, there has been the strangest of all strangest things evah exchange involvin’ Mumpers over on facebook. If anyone’s innerested, the gist of it is we’re all gonna move in to either MOOOOOOM’S or BBBOBBIO’S place next weekend. Y’all have your pick of places to squat.
Hey, y’all. Sorry it’s been so long. I’ve missed you guys.
For the MMP - summer plans are to work and send kiddos to camps if I can. Sweet Girl wants to go to a fine arts week church camp and she has band camp as well. Hippie Boy may be going to summer school. He has some classes to make up. We’ve had a pretty rough year of it.
Hubby was diagnosed with round 2 of mantle cell lymphoma in October. I went on leave in November to take care of him. From December til May, he was in the hospital four times. The second time was a 47 day stay with a week and a half in the ICU. Thursday morning, May 15, he peacefully slipped away. We’re preparing for his funeral Monday morning. 16 years of a wonderful marriage. I was blessed beyond measure when we found each other.
{{{Annie}}} I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your kids and hubby. May he rest in peace.
