Deheathenization plus adventure today. Our nursery attendant reported to me that a dark blue Chevy Trailblazer in the parkin’ lot had its engine runnin’. I knew immediately who it belongs to as there ain’t but one of those in the church house lot on a given Sunday. He’s 92 and most likely shouldn’t be drivin’. Anywho by the time she told me, it had been idlin’ like that for an hour. So, I got the keys out. Then he managed to get away before I could hand ‘em to him. Turns out he realized he didnt’ have his keys and somebody gave him a lift to his place (assisted livin’) to get the spare key. Long story short, he has the keys back. I also called his daughter to tell her. Maybe I shouldn’t have but I know she’s been kinda nudgin’ him toward the idea of givin’ up drivin’, so I thought she should know. Thankfully this was not in the parkin’ lot of say Wally*World or the Maul. :eek:
Lazy day at Home Sweet Home. I do have the sheets washing and shall do a few other chores. Just enjoying my alone time.
Stupid cat lost her collar again. This is like the 6th one she has lost so I found some cheap ones from Amazon and ordered three. Hubby doesn’t like her to go without one cause the bells help scare away birds before she can catch them. He is threatening to paint a ring around her neck instead of keeping replacing collars. That wouldn’t give her a bell though.
I just finished making a dozen construction vehicle cupcake pics for a special little guy’s fourth birthday and am taking a break to go out on the motorcycle with my neighbor then fix dinner before making the banner. It’s finally warming back up. Yay!

I’ve just been chilling out. Enjoyed catching the very end of the Preakness yesterday - just in time to see California Chrome cross the finish line! What a handsome horse he is too - I’m always partial to red horses, though. LOL
This is certainly not an endorsement, but … I have gotten a taste for Papa John’s Double Cheeseburger pizza. Can you believe it? I’d been pretty militant about not ordering from them either, until I tasted that pizza. I think it’s the combination and that it included pickles on it. And we usually order the thin crust.

I am ok but my left index finger is a little shorter, they called in the Plastic Surgeon and after he removed a little “excess” bone, he sutured me right up.
Moooom, we were taking out the PA at the Grande Casa de Rock and I called out to raise the speakers, they went down instead, my finger ran out of airgap and two rather heavy pieces of wood and metal met where my finger was placed. There was an exceptional amount of blood.
The ER staff was impressed, in general that is not good but in this case, since the only meds I took were some injections of Lidocaine for surgery and not the IV of Morphine offered, it is from pain tolerance. The Whiskey shot I had once home was fantastic OTOH.
There may be additional surgery but the digit will be ok.
Ouch. Reminds me of a ambulance call I did where a 12 year old kid shot off a toe with a deer slug. I’m pretty sure that was what the docs did for him, too.
There’s a semi-obvious joke that I will save for now.

We now have a shiny new all-in-one wireless printer/scanner/copier/fax. It makes purdy prints! I think our old Kodak was in bad shape for longer than we’d thought.
Supposedly, we’re dropping down to the mid-40s tonight! I need to remember to close most of the windows - I don’t want to have to turn on the heater in the morning. brrrrrrrr

Feeling cranky with DH over refusing to see a doctor about an ongoing shoulder problem that’s, among other things, making his snoring worse than usual. I need to get a lot more sleep than this situation allows. My Mt. Dew intake is probably at an unhealthy level, and probably isn’t doing existing anxiety problems much good.
