OYKW called me to tell me the horrible mess he expected to find on his desk was just terrible instead of horrible. By that he meant still awful but not as bad as he expected. He also has someone comin’ to his place at four this afternoon to take a look at the water heater and tell him whether or not it’s fixable. My bet is on not fixable. The thing is ooooolllllllllddddddd!!!
Lucky I had to get the ancient A/C unit replaced in the first house I owned. It decided to die in July. I feel for ya.

Nurse! if you were anywhere near Parrott, Jawja you could go to my friend’s mother’s house and take your pick of kittehs. Apparently, they are everywhere. She feeds the strays, which, is nice, but encourages the spread of the feral cat population in those parts. Engine Kitty has many alive brothers and sisters accordin’ to my friend. Here’s hopin’ the appropriate kittehs find their way to y’all soonest.
I told OYKW about Engine Kitty. He called me sick and demented, but says he considers those to be good qualities.
No real surprise if I mention amusement parks? This summer looks like 16 parks across a total of 34 days. (We’ll spend at least 10 days at Knoebels)
I do have a bike adventure planned while the Old Wench goes to the California rollercoaster convention. I want to hook around and hit Rte 6 in eastern PA/NY somewhere and see how far west I can follow it. At least to Indiana or so. 6 has a great rep as a riding road and other than parts around Erie/Bradford I’ve just never done it.
We leave for KY tomorrow early so any Mumpers in the Bowling Green area should duck. Other than that will return for the next MMP

‘Tis 89 Amurrkin out and Summer hyooooooomid! Feels like it’s at least ten degrees warmer out than the air temp. Not complainin’ however cause I likes the Summer.

Since OYKW is meetin’ the water heater guy at four, I’ll wait 'til around then to stick the beastloaf in the oven. Mac 'n cheese is all made up. I’ll just toss some grated cheese and some bread crumbs on top and throw it in the oven (in an oven proof dish, of course, not just slung in the oven cause that would be messy) to get all melty and bubbly. Cornbread won’t take that long as I’ll use the convection oven for that and probably the mac ‘n cheese. Cabbage is nuttin’ to steam. Ummm… in case y’all have not figured this out, I’s a little hongry.
I don’t know what’s going on with our travel agent, but I called Holiday Inn myself and found our reservations in London, then I called Princess Line and found out other info that the agent hasn’t been sharing. Honest-to-goodness, we’d have done just as well to book all of this ourselves. I thought the agent was going to be a help, but she’s more of a pain.

BBQ pizza, along with Hawaiian and Nacho pizza, is what you eat when you’ve eaten too much regular pizza lately. I say this as a formerly broke former pizza delivery driver. One of our perks was getting to share one pizza per shift and most of us couldn’t afford to not make that our evening meal. No matter how odd the odd pizzas were, sometimes we had to take a break from the regular toppings.

They’re heading out at 9 tomorrow, and I don’t expect them to get home before 9 tomorrow night. At least I don’t have to go.
I replaced a water heater. Rather, I wrote a check and stood and watched while a friend from work installed it.
He threw it at me at Lowes. It fell of the shelf while several people were getting it down, and I tried to catch it.
Sometimes, I show a remarkably underdeveloped intelligence. I didn’t know James could run that fast.
My wedding ring cut my hand, and I tried to write the check without bleeding on it.

flytrap interestin’ly enough OYKW’s new water heater will come from Lowe’s. A forty gallon one at a reasonable price. I found it online for him and he called the local store to see if they had any in stock. They did, so he and water heater guy will meet up there tomorrow. OYKW will buy it and water heater guy will haul it over to OYKWs place after its bought and will install it Thursday mornin’. He’s good. Shows up when he says and does good work. He’s a general fixit type that everybody likes.
So, Thursday mornin’ OYKW will be in hot water once again.
ETA: Fixit guy is also kinda burly. He fixes stuff and he’s eye candy. Could one want more!

Sorry about the water heater. I’ve changed a couple, not hard, but $$$ and a bit of busy work. The worst part was listening to VWife bitch about no water.
