Sent my (baby) elephant out today. Hope it hits the mark.
Box o’ elephant sent today. Nothing received yet… waiting eagerly!
Mine shows delivered as of 1:13 PM yesterday. Mine was nowhere near as corny as all y’all’s. Still awaiting my “gift”.
I figger I’ll start building next years package now so I’ve got time to stock up. Dopers Beware.
Damn. If I’d only thought, I would have included some ivory in mine

And I’m glad it got there so quickly. I wasn’t too confident about my wrapping job either.

Got mine from FourPaws yesterday! My box o’ wonderment included:
- A gently used, but rather dirty live worm bait box
- A fishing lure of the rubbery worm variety
- A Fossil watch tin with additional contents:
- A little pair of brass shoes (some sort of dutch footwear perhaps?)
- 1 very tiny ceramic shoe that appears to have once been glued to something larger

I had a long list of everything in my box in Notepad and my computer crashed…
I’m not doing it again. I’m just going to say, “Thank you, Stretch!” Some of this stuff will be useful. Is the M&M the thing I’m supposed to display? Or the Rolodex? Or the antique CueCat?
I think you should display the M&M guy. You are not required to listen to any of the cassettes, though if you have access to a cassette player you should listen to the Bob Rivers’ Twisted tunes tape. You also must listen to the Storm CD. If you hate it, pass it on to someone who likes grrl rock.
The hospital gown in from last year’s white elephant, so I think it would be extra nice if you saved it for some [del]poor[/del] lucky Doper next year. 
The book, When You and I Were Young, Whitefish, is really pretty good.
I hope you find some use for some part of the elephant.
ETA: Maybe you should display the neon shoestrings…do you wear sneakers frequently?

My elephant is galloping East as we speak. I unfortunately forgot to put in a list of contents, but everything else is under the main elephant. That will make sense when you receive it. It was sent by the mailroom through the corporate account, so I don’t know if my RL name is on it or not. It’s arriving via FedEx in a plain brown box, probably tomorrow.
OK - mine is finally heading off to the west coast. California, look out! I sent it priority, so it should be there Friday or Saturday. Enjoy!

I gave mine to the guys in the shipping dept to send out Fed Ex today. Barring a major screw up by them, it will get on a truck today.
I just realized after reading through the thread I did not make a list nor did I reveal my username and I sent a bunch of stuff but nothing that I guess you could really display.
Ah well. I just checked Fed Ex tracking and the package is due to be delivered tomorrow. It was last spotted in Utah, so if Fed Ex shows up at your door you can assume the package is from the internet. :eek:

Oh my! My elephant was just delivered to my desk. He’d been slit open (if I’d read the employee handbook, I would have realized that all mail gets opened by the office manager) so I could see the bags full of goodness within!
One set of wooden hanging bells (now hanging from my blindcord)
A bottle opener in the shape of a key, and a little tag hagging from the ring which says ‘suckuk’ (now on my keyring for those beer bottle emergencies)
A set of pink bendy hair rollers (I’ve always wanted some of these)
A purple plastic keychain/ clock in the shape of a flower (haven’t managed to get it to work yet, but it provided several minutes of fun for my colleagues)

A dark pink suede clutch bag (ideal for Christmas party as I have no bags)
And last but most certainly not least, a pale purple ceramic mouse shaped like a computer mouse, but with holes in its nose - a mouse salt shaker! It’s sitting on my laptop keyboard looking moodily off into the distance.
There was no name, and no list in this parcel (unless the office manager extracted it and shredded it out of badness) so I don’t know which direction I should send my heartfelt thanks in.
I’d like whichever Doper was responsible for this wonderful parcel to know that s/he really brightened my day and distracted me from PowerPoint hell. A noble act.
I really hope Susie D has a digital camera.
