New category: Most pitted doper?
With possible subcategories of: a). Mod/Admin, b). member, c). banned member.
A: (quickest banned) So? Go ahead and go poring over the user records and compile the list of the dozens of posters that have been banned without ever posting. What will that accomplish?
B: (shortest OP) Yes they did. I’ve seen people start blank or single-character OPs several times just because they thought it was original. You could also spend some time digging up OPs eaten by the hamsters.
You could put down Uncle Tony as perhaps the only poster who ever got flamed before posting.
He had originally signed up with the name Polycarp◄, which looked a lot like the name of someone who was already registered. An alert reader noticed his name under the “welcome to our newest member” feature. Suspecting foul play, he opened a pit thread, making Polycarp◄ perhaps the only person pitted before even posting.
It appears that Polycarp◄ subsequently changed his name to Uncle Tony.
I second Satisfying Andy Licious’s idea. That’s a good category.
Another, possibly: longest thread that ended in lockdown.
Oh, and The Fork Throwing Communist also has a 27 character user name, so that’s a tie for first so far with The Man With the Golden Gun for the longest user name.

I’m pretty sure I am the youngest active poster, at 14. A kid who was 12 came here recently, but got his posting rights taken away because this board only allows people 13 and up.
As it has been mentioned, a poster was pitted solely by name. This has happend a few times in the past, with nicks like “Coldfirebigslut”, or a (IIRC) “haxor”, who came after the board was hacked.

No. The longest thread is Klaatu’s “a” thread with 5337 posts over 107 pages. I believe twickster holds the record for most posts in a thread with 484 in the “a” thread.

I was coming in to nominate myself for most posts to a single thread, but see that my close personal friend Fern Forest (anothter “a” thread alum) beat me to it.

IIRC, TubaDiva was poster #1 but her registration was corrupted, causing her to have to re-register. (Folks from the transition from AOL to here may be able to clarify that.) Which raises the question of who was the first poster, and the first non-mod. poster, at the old AOL site?
The question of youngest poster would have to vary according to birthdays as 13- and 14-year-olds register. But the active poster whop joined at the youngest age would have to be divided between two people: Bomb Bay Doors, son of Airman Doors USAF and MsRobyn, who is approaching his first birthday – he having been granted membership (and congratulations at his birth by Cecil Adams, no less!) by special dispenstation of the staff – presumably his few posts were actually keyed in and submitted by a parent; and Alessan, younger brother of iampunha, who made some intelligent posts at the precocious age of 11 or 12, was banned as underage, and has recently rejoined us at the ripe old age of 14.
Polycarp, I think you’re thinking of someone else. Alessan is a registered member, not a child, and I would be extremely surprised to learn that he is related to iampunha, as punha is an American and Alessan is an Israeli.
I believe the Most Pitted Doper title goes to december.
