The without a single thought MMP

Good Mornin’ from irk y’all! 'Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 78 for the day along with rain and general dreariness. Tomorrow the high shall be 54 and rainy again.

MOOOOOOM I was indeed on facebook early this mornin’ before I purtified for irk and went to meet OYKW for brekkie. I saw there was no MMP but I didn’t have time to crank it up.

BBBobbio we’re Mumpers. We can make a hijack out of nuttin’.

red dang! Hope said relative’s mess is cleared up soonest. Mayhaps she needs a box of PSWSLPNS.

Midget you could have turkey this Thursday and celebrate along with us USAers. Twelve people will be snarfin’ down turkey with all the trimmin’s at da cave. OYKW and I have decided to forgo get togethers with our families this year and spend the long weekend together. YAY! We’ve both been crazy busy and need the chill time. Spaz sounds like you’re feelin’ the same way.

flytrap I have cans of real honest to goodness cranberry sauce chillin’ in da fridge. BTW Stove Top Stuffin’ and fart blossoms are what Satan eats for Thanksgivin’.

Spidey I would go home but the mothership keeps makin’ excuses. Last week it was because she had just washed her hair and couldn’t do a thing with it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, I should get back to irk. [del]Minion[/del] assistant and I (the local one) are usin’ these three days to do some housekeepin’ things in files, with the site book (the irk Bible of who’s doin’ what where), and other miscellaneous stuff that must be done on occasion. Busy but fairly mindless irkstuff.

Rain has changed to snow. It’s recess time and I’m having my half pint of milk. The zip on my jacket has been giving me problems lately. It’s the kind that has a top and bottom tab so you can unzip from the bottom. Both tabs are stuck at the bottom and I had to take my jacket off over my head. Fortunately I have an emergency back-up exactly the same jacket at home, so I will put this busticated zipper jacket in the donations bag.

Broke up with New Guy last night. Had to be done. <Moe Szyslak>“I wish him well … in that I don’t wish him any specific harm.” </Moe S.> I honestly still hope life turns out OK for him, I do still feel like I have his back to some extent, and I hope that once things cool off we can remain friendly, but he was most definitely not the right person for me.

Ce la vie.

Or she could get together with some bums, and have turkey with all the tremens.

They are still working on the building, now they are doing caulking and trim work before they paint. It’s why Gordie has been barking himself unconscious the last couple of weeks.

I envisioned random Mexican dudes taking turns sitting on various and sundry porches as performance art or something…

Lunch has been ingested. The sun is shining, the wind is blowing, and I assume my laundry is drying. All is right with the world… so far.

Not up to much today- did some gardenin’ stuff, but well, not to go all TMI, but I really need to get round to getting a key for the allotment lavatory, rather than having to dive in the car and drive home when nature starts yellin’. Getting a key means a) being there on a Sunday morning, and b) having spare money, neither if which ever happen.

In other news, I apparently am finally becoming wise- my final wisdom tooth has decided to show up, some years after the others. At least it isn’t doing what it was when I was 20 and growing sideways, but it’s still a bit owie.

Anyway, I should prob’ly go make dindin before I’m off out for juggling- I volunteered to pick someone else up, which means I have to go really early, rather than going late like normal. I don’t see the point it getting there so early I have to make the tea

Swampy, you must be one ugg-ul-lee dude if even your mother(ship) doesn’t wanna see you.

How you doin’?

4th load is being washed. Not everything goes in the dryer, but unlike Mooommm, I don’t have a line outside; just need to limbo you way into any room upstairs for a little while.
Doggio, I had Mexicans on my porch earlier; 4 or 5 of 'em, with leaf blowers blew all the leaves into the middle of the street…where they remain 2½ hours later. Are they going to come by with a vacuum truck?

Cool!
Do you have to give him drugs to do that?

It’s been an interesting day at Stately Doors Manor. I made chili in the crockpot, followed by a quicky cleanup job because all the juice and liquid ingredients overflowed. I need a new crockpot.

I had to buy two dozen donuts for the sprog’s teacher appreciation breakfast. This made the sprog very happy, and his mommy, too, because ZOMG!!11-!!! Good coffee!!111! The computers at irk are down, which is making me Not Happy. And I have no idea how the chili will be when I get home. At least we don’t have Scouts tonight.

We he did spend half his 2 hour shift yakking on the cell phone and listening to mariachi music.

Nope. It just happens when you bark for 4 hours straight.

{{{shoe}}} sayin’ goodbye like that is never easy. Here’s hopin’ y’all can remain friends.

Spidey it’s always an excuse with the mothership. Lately the excuses have been, “I just cleaned the carpets and they’re still wet,” “I just painted my toenails and they’re still wet,” “My chitlin slingin’ team meeting is tonight,” I just have to clean the tile grout this evenin’," seems there is just never a good time.

Ok, N.O.L. has been ingested, so back to irk.

and “I can’t pick you up, I have to wash my hare

Tell me that is not a dead rabbit.

Happy Moonday, y’all!

Starting to get ready for Turkey day. LOL I lurves turkey too, especially what I make with turkey leftovers. Turkey sandwiches, with cranberry sauce and dressing, turkey tetrazzini, turkey pot pie, turkey soup, made with broth from the carcass. Nothing of the turkey will go to waste! And we will have plenty of sides too, as well as pumpkin pie for dessert. YUM!

My daughter and I have been watching -way- too much Discover ID tv. LOL There are some really twisted people out there, and if you watch enough tv shows about them, you start to dream about them, or the law enforcement folks who catch them. It has made me more aware of how much sickness is out there, unfortunately. :frowning: Time to cut back on the ID programs. Good thing that Homicide Hunter had their season finale last week, I guess.

Prayers and good thoughts for any and all who need them. Shoe, sorry about your break up; many hugs for you.

I am the turkey fairy* and I give all mumpers dispensation to eat turkey year round and also dispensation for them to ask the butcher to cut one in half or in quarters if that would make cooking it up go quicker. Not that you can’t dismember one yourself before cooking, but sometimes they will be extra nice and only sell you the quarter or half, putting the remainder out for someone else to buy.

My biggest turkey joy is making turkey broth. Mmmmmm. I have a pot on, now.

*OK. I’m a temp, filling in while the actual turkey fairy gets a well-deserved couple of days off before the big crunch.

Oh, bad pun. Bad, bad pun.

Well done.

My oldest son and his two daughters visited last night. My youngest son and his SO live with me, so it was close to a full house.

They hadn’t watched Guardians of the Galaxy yet, so that was part of the evening. Earlier we had gone to farmer’s market to walk around and get a few things. Then we played “what do you want to do?” for awhile. After the movie, we played “well, what do you want for dinner?” At the end, we played a bunch of AMVs that the girls hadn’t seen. Then we took a long time saying goodbye in two stages. First in the house and then standing in the street by their car.

The long digressions are traditional at this point. Maybe I should start timing them. We do take pictures, too, but it could be kind of a memento.

Happy Turkey Week! I have the whole week off! I shall make like my sister’s Boston Terrier and spin in a circle until I collapse.

Today the kiddos and I are making a quilt for a new nephew. My nieces are joining, so it shall be chaotic and fun.

Otherwise, the week consists of housecleaning, laundry and Turkey Day. Finished off with my birthday. I am excited like leetle girl by all of it. I love this time of year.

spins and falls over giddily

I hate you.

Oy! Some people shouldn’t be left alone with an internet connection unsupervised. The aunt has no clue how the post was put on my FB page, but when an internet security class was suggested, she became the smartest person to ever use a computer and didn’t need no stinkin’ classes. Unfortunately, she’s one of those who I’d rather have inside my tent pissing out than outside pissing in (apologies and credit to LBJ for that one).

Emily, apologies. I should have phrased that as USA mumpers. Have a slice of turkey, you’ll feel better.

doggio, go for the Chinese, it tastes better.
