Saw an ad with his picture and they referred to him as “Kris”, circa 1964. I have an undated black and white photo, 10" X 8", of him in a diner standing next to a waitress.
Yes I know about the Wonder bread giant. I grew up in Trinidad,Colorado and my mom would take me to see him every year at our local Safeway store. He would only come once a year for one day only. I cant give you his name but he was 8 feet and 2 inches tall. He would bring mini loaves of Wonder bread and that was exciting to get one from him. I went to that Safeway store for four years from 1960 through 1963. I was 5 years old in 1960 and it was a big day for kids to see him. Yes he was for real. I can remember him wearing a suit and tie but getting the mini loaf of bread was just as exciting as seeing the giant man. Hope this helps.

I don’t remember Kris the Wonder Giant, but I remember when the Corn King Giant visited our local Piggly Wiggly store in the 1960’s. According to Wikipedia, his name was Henry Hite and he was 8 feet 2 inches tall.
I’m still curious if Kris the Wonder Giant was Jacob Nacken. There is a resemblance, although he would have been in his fifties when the Wonder Giant was active.
Wikipedia says “Although promoted as “the world’s tallest man” at 8 ft 2 in, his actual height was 7 ft 6¾ in”. I was going to say that he had a stunningly appropriate name, but I see that his real name was Mullens and he changed it for promotional purposes.
Oh, thanks for the correction. The correct height is more in line with Kris the Wonder Giant. I think both were promoted as the tallest man in the world. I remember watching the Corn King Giant get out of his car and was surprised he could fit. I was also impressed by the size of his shoes.
