ThelmaLou crybaby snowflake way to take things out of context.

Well you’ve convinced me, CarnalK.

Thelma is completely horrid with her wild accusations of “flippancy” and her wierd sensitivity about the seriousness of the Vietnam war just because it ultimately took her husband. After all, Textual Assault once ran over a bunny.

Are you disagreeing with John Mace? Because JKellyMap was agreeing with him. The way I known that is because it says “I agree with John Mace” in his post.

Sure. And that’s why the OP of this thread should have been way, way more civil in his response. And one reason why he’s an asshole. There are other reasons, too.

I just said she overreacted. Boy, it’s all or nothing with you guys. Ok, you’ve convinced me. Textual Assault should be burned alive and I will this minute begin building my ThelmaLou shrine out back.

No kidding. But the distinction does make a difference because she did not attack the OP; she stated quite clearly that she took offense to the attitude expressed by the 20 hours comment, finding it flippant, considering the subject of the documentary which was quite meaningful to her. And she expressed that without making a judgement regarding the OP him/herself.

See the difference? “no like 20 hours comment” versus “OP is poopyhead”.

There is definitely an excluded middle fallacy here, but you might find it in your own pocket, CarnalK.

You know what an excluded middle is? I didn’t get that impression from your initial post to me.

The one where I reacted to your “blameless poor widow” post?

ThelmaLou is not capable of distinguishing between a movie and an actual war.

TextualAssault is not capable of distinguishing between ThelmaLou’s pointless whining and a personal attack on him.

I’d call it a draw.

Well, no it’s not a draw. Textual Assault is clearly whackadoo. ThelmaLou’s post was just eye roll worthy.

Yes, that one.

Something I learned the hard way is that you can offend someone even if you don’t mean to.

What I still don’t understand is the reaction to attack someone you didn’t mean to offend. I understand the desire to lash out for a second, but not to actually sit there and maintain that anger. Why would you remain angry long enough to get a Warning and then make a Pit thread?

And I very much don’t understand why you’d single out the widow. But I don’t understand why anyone gets singled out, really.

You seem to be overreacting far more than anyone else in either thread.

It seems that way to you, does it? That’s interesting.

Yeah, watching someone go into breathless hysterics over the thought that someone else may have slightly overreacted is pretty interesting.

Wow. I know it’s hard to read tone over the internet but describing what I’ve said here as “breathless hysterics” has got to be a world record.

Heh. The only thing to be inferred from her so-called “anti-Trumpomania” is that she doesn’t hate America.

Well, compare this:

“Textual Assault should be burned alive and I will this minute begin building my ThelmaLou shrine out back.”

To this:

“I did see the OP’s comment as flippant and far from hilarious.”

Which of these two people needs to calm down?

I should make clear, ThelmaLou seems like a very nice lady to me. However, anyone who refuses to use Trump’s name, either out of some protest or refusing to accept he’s “legitimate”, loses almost all their credibility in a political discussion. IMHO.

You. Don’t have another freakout, dude. I enjoy your perspective on economics.
