Okay, I know that it’s a little morbid, but do people actually buy these? Would you consider requesting one for your own funeral? I am definitely with the cremation crowd, and the traditional funeral ritual creeps me out. But on the other hand, these are rather colorful. If you would consider a theme casket, and you could design your own, what would it look like? Or, is this the most tasteless thing you’ve ever seen?
I know I probably wouldn’t like one of those, but my desire would be to be cremated like the ancients - on a pyre on a beach, or like the Vikings when they cremated a chieftan.

I don’t believe in the waste of money for caskets myself (being a cremation believer). So, none of those for me, thanks.

They have one just for me called 'The Race Is Over". My wife gave me a funny look when I showed it to her and asked if I planned on dying soon. But I really did like the ‘Return To Sender’ casket though.

Apparently in Africa there are some cultures that do elaborate carved caskets, like an alligator or something – very cool. If I were a better person I’d do a search. IIRC, you’d get one way ahead of time and keep it in your house (use it for storing stuff or wahtever) until it was needed. I’ve always thought that was very cool. I’d want a flamingo (my totem animal), but, yeah, I’m planning to get cremated, too, so I guess I can take that off the Amazon wish list.

In my case, I think the urn would fit in a slightly smaller conveyance, but it might still be neat.

When he was on Conan O’Brien, a certain frontman brought out this musically-themed casket.
I’d like to be buried in a cherrywood casket with burgundy lining. Or maybe a white casket with gold trim and a pink lining.
Me too for cremation after organ donation.
But I think the caskets are cool anyway. Just not what I would spend money on.
Well, I think I’d rather be cremated (after donating my organs, of course) but if I had to choose some of those…
I like Monet’s Foot Bridge. The Beach is also nice. However, I wouldn’t want to get those things dirty!
I think the only time I’d want to buy a casket is to get an old-fashioned one to use as a coffee table in a living room or somesuch area. I have a little bit of a morbid sense of humor, so I’d probably refer to it as the “guest room” if it were a one bedroom apartment. ::grins mischievously:: It’d be great for naps if I got it wide enough, though.
