There's a party goin' on! DC/MD/VA/WV/PA/NC 6/28/03

Perhaps.

Regardless - I’m looking forward to your big shin-dig and meeting everyone. You mentioned earlier in the thread a website for the party; has that come to be? I’d like to know what we can bring; not very “southernly” to show up empty-handed.

Bring what you feel you’d like to share.

Further deponent saith not.

For folks needing a ride – we’ll be coming up (JC knows this already) and can seat two – if they don’t mind riding in the back seat of a Firebird. Possible locations from which we can pick up include Raleigh, Durham, Knightdale, Wendell, Zebulon, Spring Hope, Rocky Mount, Weldon, Enfield, and Roanoke Rapids, NC (for a small consideration we’d even be willing to dare the wilds of darkest Cary); points along I-85 and I-95 in Virginia as far north as Fredericksburg; Falmouth, Somerduck, Opal, Warrenton, and such in Virginia; and points along US-15 from Warrenton north to the Valley of the Last Chance.

Ladies…gentlemen…Dave…

I request you look here…

I will be coming. Please send an evite.

Glad to have you! Evite sent!

I will swear on any number of texts (religious or just plain literary knock-outs) that I dyed my hair red before reading this thread.

Ahh, but who did the actual dyeing? Hmmm…?

JC I can bring Operation if you like. Makes a fun, mild drinking game as a matter of fact. (At least the way we play it.)

I can bring Charades for Kids… ok maybe not.

I’m dying my hair this weekend, but I bought the dye about a month and a half ago. So there. Nyeah.

I can bring Boggle though, if anyone is interested. I love Boggle

Boggles the mind, doesn’t it?

I picked up Operation yesteday in Martinsburg so we’re set there.

Last night I had a dream about the party…

John Kerry was there. So was Richard Gephardt and Arnold Schwarzenegger. All talking politics while Mary played. And she was playing at night. But I knew she started on time at 4PM.

How weird is that?

The first batch is slow cooking, and my home smells of garlic, pepper, beef, onion, and more pepper! Adobo, jalapeno, red, yellow and green, piquin, and ground chili, it’s all in there!

Thank heaven my parrot is a South American native, or he’d have lost his feathers in the heady aroma of the kitchen tonight.

Tomorrow I make another 8 quarts! Woo hoo!

batch of what?

Hey, JC, I hope I’m not getting annoying but I didn’t get that last e-mail either. Could you please (pretty please, with sugar on top) send it again, and if at all possible send it to this address as well: dc1@umbc.edu? My hotmail account has been acting funky lately.

Bad news! The Woozle has become a blonde!

Can we still come? I promise we’ll make it up to you somehow…

That will be a great disappointment to my Publications Director.

What was she thinking?

Are there going to be directions posted at some point for those of us who posted but didn’t get an e-vite? It’s less than a week away…eep!

**CHILI!

Hi, Opal!**

And I’ll bring cards so we can play Asshole. That game’s a trip.

Doors, that would make you moi’s personal hero. She loves Asshole.

Waiting paitently for the inevitable lame jokes…

I think she thought she’d have more fun.

Silly Woozle.
