These are a few of my least favorite things (return of the mini-rants)

I pit every one of the 35+ people who, in the last 6 weeks, have strolled through my beautiful, tastefully-furnished, reasonably-priced, immaculately clean house and neglected to make an offer. All I keep hearing is “it’s too small”. Well dammit, it says right on the label “1300 square feet, 3 bed 2 bath”. Did you think it was going to magically manifest a finished basement when you walked in, after sending me to the local coffee house at short notice for the 150th time this week?

Foreclosure city, here I come.

<I’m ranting at someone who, in all probability, is not you> You *fucking * jerk. Time does not heal all wounds and if you think you can just waltz in with nobody saying anything after you managed to screw up the entire group dynamic, you’ve got a big lesson coming. What the fuck can you possibly think you will get from us now? Just stay wherevever you where when you went away!

Once, just once, I’d like to wake up in the morning and find the apartment too hot. But now, every morning it’s the same thing–I get up, close the balconey door and turn the heater on. Four hours later, my roommates get up and proceed to undo what I’ve done to get the place to a good temperature.

Money, stop burning holes in my pockets! I need new clothes, but I’ll never get any if you keep dissappearing on me.

Sinuses, you suck. That is all.

Cosmic bitchslap: I find coverage today, but I also feel 10 times worse. Nasty coughing, sinus pain, sore throat. So even if I in theory could still go back to Montreal tonight I’m too sick to go. And I know my friends are going to try and make me anyway, but I don’t want to be anywhere other than my bed.

At least I slept till 2pm.

People who ask me for advice, do the polar opposite of what I advise them to do, experience negative consequences, and then bitch me out anyway.

I arranged to have the carpets professionally cleaned this morning. Hauled a bunch of stuff out of the bedrooms (only the back half of the house has carpet), including all my sewing stuff and the sewing machine cabinet on wheels, carefully vacuumed every inch, and was all ready, when they called up to announce their van had broken down and they didn’t know when they could come. I had the day all planned out! Arrrgh!
