Newbies: It’s a toss up between Dr. Schadenfreude and xcheops.
New Cover Girl “cement” lipstick. Okay, so it’s not cement but the stuff is unbelieveable! I put it on Friday after dinner, went out with my husband, came home and we did some heavy making out and then I passed out when I sent him upstairs to get some…uh, stuff. Point is, I woke up with perfect lipstick 12 hours after applying it! Amazing!
A bracelet that looks like this necklace. My husband bought it for me for my 31st birthday, which is a month away. He also doesn’t know he bought it yet, but I’m sure he’ll approve.
Shirt: Flannel Gunslinger gave me. It still smells like him, despite the fact that he hadn’t worn it before giving it to me so the only him-scent on it came from hanging in his closet, and also despite the fact that I wrap my stuffed bunny up in it to cuddle with at night when I am lonely. It’s the softest, most comfortable shirt I own.
Laundry Product: Bounce fabric softener in “Outdoor Fresh” scent.
Band: Cowboy Mouth. “They’ve been around FOREVER!” complained my sister when I told her they were my new favorite. “I know,” I told her, “but I only heard them on Sunday, so they’re new to me!”
Class: Introduction to Mass Media. Went to my first lecture today. Awesome teacher, interesting subject, I should enjoy this one.
Candy Bar: Dark Chocolate Aero from Nestlé. Unfortunately they aren’t sold in the US, and I can’t find them online. I can find milk chocolate and peppermint but not dark chocolate. I shall be begging my best friend to drive up to Canada from Connecticut, and ship me a bunch on overnight delivery (praying they don’t melt en route).
On my morning bus ride, there is a hot guy who is reading the Seducer’s Diary by Kierkegaard that I like to stare at.
I love the blueberry pancakes at Hillary’s Urban Eatery and the bananas Sara crepe at La Creperie. I like going up to the Heartland Cafe after a day at the Loyola beach.
I’m developing a taste for sipping Sauvignon Blanc on my back porch on hot summer evenings.
I’ve become addicted to The Sopranos and Six Feet Under on HBO.
I started using Kiss My Face moisturizer (Alpha and Aloe during the day and Vitamin A&E at night) and my skin is looking better than it has in a while.
I bought a cool wheeled carry-on for $40 at Kmart. It’s made by Wilson, and has a decent sized main compartment plus lots of side pockets to hold stuff.

My new favorite person that I hardly talk to: Parker, a sophomore here at my college. Weird. Unique. Opinionated. Brilliant. Funny. Spent a half-hour talking to him last night. I probably won’t see him again anytime soon.

My new shower puff sponge. Dark red. Lots of lather. It’s great, really.
I’m also enjoying this newfound freedom away from home.
One of my new favourite things is “The Chris Isaak Show”. It may have been around before, but we just started getting it here on cable, and it is hilarious!
I also have become significantly impressed by my local branch of the public library. For a place that is housed in an actual house, it has a remarkable selection.
My new apartment. Big, pretty, clean, comfortable, everything the old one wasn’t.
My new shampoo. L’Oreal something.
My new Moulinex, which allows me to make homemade hummus. Never again hummus from a can!
And starting September 20th, I’m pretty sure my new Master’s program will be a favorite thing. Anything that gets me out of this terrible job HAS to be a favorite thing.
