How are you getting from SW Fla. over to I-95? Are you going to take the Mickey Mouse Highway (I-4) thru Orlando (not advised), or stay on I-75 to I-10 in North Fla., or stay on 75 to some point farther north? Anyway, if you’re coming thru Jacksonville, go around, use I-295. We got major construction where 95 crosses the St.Johns River, and it often backs up. So take the bypass.
And good luck in the Big Apple. BTW, smart to move now than in winter, this way you’ll be able to get used the colder weather up thar.
Ok, my darling dear smartass! I can plead total exhaustion when I get to NY and have you drive the stupid thing the rest of the way. Or even better, find someone in the area to talk into forcing you on a Tampa-bound plane Monday night and having you help me with the whole drive up there! 
It is not wise to mock me… especially when I’m moving closer rather than being safely tucked away in Florida! 
PlanMan - I was planning on taking I-10 over rather than I-4… That stupid highway has been enough of a headache for me through the years. I’d really rather not give it another shot! I’ll change my plans to adjust for Jacksonville, though. I’ll probably be leaving here around 6, I think, so that should get me there around noon. (If my calculating is correct.)
Anyone know any other particular hazards I should watch out for? Especially if I’m driving a 24’ moving truck?!!
Yes, and I know what one of those reasons is. Love, or the opportunity to pursue a possible love interest, is ALWAYS worth it.

Well, she’s here. Got here Thursday, she’s kicked in with Maeglin and Pucette for a while, but they access from work, not home, so her posting will be spotty for a while, until she gets her own place (the first fell thru.).
Thanks to Falcon for putting us up when I met her outside Baltimore (she was afraid of a little driving thru NYC… imagine that…but she did it.)
