No no no no no. It’s not about them and it’s not about me, of course. I’m perfectly self-satisfied. (cough) It’s about you and your obsessions and hatreds.
The thing is, you are lumping things that aren’t true with things that are. There really are people for whom the first three sentences are true. And the fifth sentence, while hyperbole, does contain nuggets of truth. They don’t value what we value, to the point that they actively fight against those things. Sure, everything won’t be gone, but it will feel like it.
Now, of course, you may question who I am talking about. The thing is, there’s no particular somebody. It’s very general, and applies to the fringes of any belief system, whether religious or political. And, unfortunately, the fringes in some are larger and/or have more power.
Still, the rest is bollocks, unless maybe you are talking about some types of criminals.
