First of all, error my ass.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted in anything even remotely political and there is a reason for that (which I’m not getting into). I was reading one of the Mark Foley threads yesterday and thought to myself, “gee I wonder how long it’ll be before someone labels him as a democrat.” I was gonna post that but I thought, “nah, that’s just silly. People will laugh at me for even thinking it.”
I just get so angry even thinking that there are people that even watch that horseshit station and the fact that this wont’ even remotely affect the ratings is just sad.
There are only two reasons this could happen…
- the obvious reason, deceit. Deceit isn’t right but I’m tired.
2)incompetance. This shows up on the preview screen before it ever goes to air so the director, AD, Switcher, Producer, and everyone else in the goddamn studio all have a chance to see it before it goes to air. You hit ONE button and it’s no longer there and it’s also very easy to edit them. The fact that it’s on the air three times is just flat out stupidity - or you know, intentional.
No doubt they simply assumed that a pervert who blames his actions on everything under the sun other than himself must be a Democrat. :rolleyes:
Even though the president himself called Foley’s behavior “disgusting,” there are still pundits out there who say the whole thing is no big deal. I suppose they’re thinking, “It’s not like he asked those boys to marry him.”
Any word on whether Fox ever made a retraction on the “Foley (D-Fla)” goof?

To expand on that, they never even changed the tag when they re-aired the show. It went from “D-FL” to simply blank. They never made it “R-FL”…just buried it down the memory hole.
What About HAnnity’s remark about Clinton commuting the sentence of Mel Reynolds?
Does anybody remember anything about that? I don’t. Was he accurate in that?
Oh…and they don’t give a crap about how obvious the lie or “mistake” is. I’m sure they feel it’s completely worth it to confuse the issue. They can claim it’s “just a mistake” but the damage is done. Some people will see it and believe it without question. What scumbags.
Clinton commuted Reynolds’s bank fraud sentence, not his sentence for sex with a minor.
Cite. He’d already served 2 years of the 2 1/2 year sentence for the underage sex. Clinton commuted his 6 1/2 year sentence for fraud (of which he’d already served two years).
Fox is Fair and Balanced. They never promised Accurate.

Rather subjective. If you mean [sub]Colmes[/sub] than yeah, sometimes I could have sworn I’d seen the guy. Now if you mean Colmes as in a “normal sized cohost with equal say”, hell no.
Fair question… Even if the erroneous “reporting” was true, what difference does it make if Monica was 19? I mean, I can understand some people’s outrage (not mine) at an older man with a young woman. To each his own. But what is the problem with 19? She’s a legal adult. To use an old and very rude statement, she’s free, white and 18. What difference does 22 over 19 make?
Not much. The point was that Hannity had to go the extra mile and lie about her age so he could call her a teenager and make the comparision to defend the republicans.
That’s there defense. It’s just selective morals and a cheap Democrat political ploy. Let’s take the focus off the actual issue. I just hope Oberman or Stewert call him a liar on national TV. Jon should play his clip about Fox sucking GOP dick and use the Hannity clip as an example, then comment “We report you decide”
It’s mere truthiness. We *know * Clinton preyed on kids (because nothing a Republican could do could actually be worse than what Clinton did, of course), therefore she was a kid.
So when CNN put a big black X over VP Cheney’s face when he was making a speech, what was that?
How about when an anchor’s mic was left on and we got to hear her dissing her SIL over Pres Bush’s speech?
