I realized that I put my work email on my profile inadvertently (big DOH!) instead of my personal email! That is why mine is different now. But, I have just recieved 3 or 4 more emails, still to my work address! UGH!
It wasn’t me! It wasn’t me!!
If you receive any of these emails, please forward to me, including, when possible, header information.
May be actual people like “Sarah,” may be spoofed addresses.
Be cool about it; we’ve had quite a few email spoofings lately (on top of everything else), don’t yell at anybody until you’re absolutely sure they deserve an ass-kicking.

…yup, check my post count, I’ve only been here a few weeks and I’m the target of a cheer up campaign! Well at least now I feel like part of the crowd. Don’t know who I could have pissed off so much in such a short time though, I don’t express my opinions in a very strong manner … oh well I hope it gets untangled eventually!

This is exactly why I don’t share my e-mail address with the SDMB - it’s a shame, as I would be delighted to hear from most of you. But I won’t risk compromising my privacy. The only people here that I’ve exchanged private e-mails with are the mods and admins, and if you can’t trust them, who can you trust?
I’ve been surprised by some of the posters targeted by the trolls - as mentioned here, some are newbies who have not yet had a chance to offend anybody, and some are certainly not known as ‘troll-bashers’. Very nonsensical.
I’m sorry this happened to ya’ll - I’ve been threatened and put on any number of shit lists, but so far I’ve not been the victim of any type of skullduggery, so I guess keeping your e-mail addy hidden works.
Ya know, I almost feel left out of this. I always hear people complaining about unsolicited and spam e-mail. It’s surprising to me how little I actually get. I have 3 accounts that I use regularly, besides the one here at work and I can’t remember the last time I got something I’d call unsolicited or spam.
