There are quite a few “TMI!” moments in this story, and most of them are about Dr. Brantly. Apparently, he WANTED things like this printed, so people know what this disease really truly does to people.
I pictured a lot of people pushing their breakfast plates aside at one point, and if you read the story, you’ll know exactly where it is. Reading it wasn’t easy. EXPERIENCING it, whether first- or secondhand, would be beyond horrible. Repeat x 10,000 and that must be what’s like in parts of west Africa. Incredibly, some of the survivors want to go back, or in the case of British nurse Will Pooley, already have.

Honestly though, I’m drawn like a moth to shit that exposes the dark side of humanity. I love edgy writing in general. So I don’t regret reading it, but I think most normal people probably would.
As far as true regrets, I swore off 4chan after someone posted a picture of a guy putting the head of his penis into an infant’s mouth. That was **seriously **fucked-up.

THAT is a worse “cannot be unseen” than the thing I described in my previous post. At least no crime was committed there. p.s. It’s common knowledge that he had some awfully nasty stuff coming out both ends, as did most of them (Nancy Writebol has said on the record that she never vomited at all). I seriously didn’t want to know that many details.

Well, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt there. I’m not really up to speed on Power Rangers.
It’s a kids’ superhero show…neither kids shows nor superhero stories are particularly known for subtlety in naming.
“Tortura” isn’t really giving the kids much imagination space to work with. Mind you, this is a long torture-porn piece about a Power Ranger doll, so, y’know. I worry about the mental state of the person who wrote it. I guess it’s good that the feelings are expressed in prose rather than actuality (one hopes), but whoever wrote it is still a massive fucking weirdo.
Someone on Cracked wrote an article about fanfic and listed a Harry Potter/Teletubbies crossover slash fic. That was BAD. Really bad.
Aliens 4. I wish I had walked out. It sucked and was disgusting on so many levels. Still, can’t really compare it to some of the reality stories in this thread.
I have seen videos of dogs shot by policemen but didn’t die right away, thrown off bridges by people who thought it was funny (he didn’t die either and in fact was wagging his tail even though he couldn’t get up), soldiers shooting a dog in the middle east over and over as it tried to get away, and they were laughing.
I have seen foxes skinned alive, they were banged against a tree to stun them, and then were skinned, and then left to stumble around on the ground awake, with only their eyelashes left. It was not staged, it was a group of Asians doing their job, chatting merrily the whole time as though they were discussing the weather. Some they would nail to the tree, alive, and skin them that way.
I saw a guy whose skull was missing from the top of his head due to cancer, and maggots were living in his brain. I saw a guy jump off a high pier into the water, except he missed, and his face hit the corner of the dock below him. His head was split in two, with no recognizable facial features, yet when doctors pushed his head together, you realize he is breathing. I’ve seen the beheadings that take forever. I have seen guys cut in half in road accidents, still alive and aware. I have seen guys set on fire, guys whose hands or feet were cut off as punishment for some crime.
I’ve seen lots of stuff. Fortunately I have seen most of them with my speakers off.
