Things to do in Vegas when you're dead - a holiday MMP

Yeah, I was pretty sure I was OK, but just wanted to make certain.

Glad to know you still love me

You feeling neglected, Special1?

Why, you volunteering to do something about it if I am?

Oh sure… I turn my back for one minute and you’re off with someone else!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks like I couldn’t buy neglect here right now if I paid for it!

… Not that there’s anything wrong with that!

And risk treading on CutiePie’s toes? Ha! And you know what happened last time I got into Room 304…I’m still untangling those knots.

Good Morning Mumpers! I see a trip to the laundromat in my immediate future. Nelly will get a nice long walk today, the we are vegeing out. It’s gonna be 80 today!

Cutie Pie, I’d never leave you, unlike that trollop, Lunch.

She’s a cutie, kai!

swampy,I have no chainsaw. Nelly was licking my nose the other morning, I hope she doesn’t develop a taste for long pig.

Glad specialDad is doing better, Lunch.

I am here and up long before the sky will lighten. We had a monster storm wail through here last night, and while I know that skiffman’s skipper is smart enough to pull into a bay I am gonna have my worry set to code yellow until he gets home. The skipper runs a charter business when he’s not fishing, so they have four guys from Outside on board wanting to bag some deer, and after that the skipper wants skiffman to help pull his dungie (dungeness crab) pots out of the water. Then he will be home until after Christmas, after which if he is able to land a job he will be out to the Bering Sea for the first three months of the year.

doggio Nelly is such a sweetie, and that photo…no nog indeed! lol! Ya gotta love the beagles!

Thanks herbs, gt and pie, swampy and Haze, I am very pleased with the dress, it took me ages to find, and then I found two other dresses and a bathrobe and slippers…I love shopping for her! When skiffman saw the dress for the first time he said “Oh look, wings!” only it’s just the butt bow, lol! If you look closely, you will see that her hair and eyebrows are coming in strawberry blonde. My daughter is a golden blonde but there is a lot of red on both sides of the family. I think that those big blue eyes are going to be the same as my daughter’s, silvery blue with a ring of deep blue on the outside. I am not a doting gramma, nope, not at all!

Here are lots of wishes for your dad’s recovery special one.

Folks have gotten new jobs since I was here regularly, congrats nashi and snowbunny, and anyone I have missed!

My back…it is so stupid, I slipped while I was getting out of the shower almost a week ago, and while I managed to not fall, I gave my back a wrench and now it’s paying me back and then some. It’s a good thing that I am making “stuff” with my beads, clay and whatnot, so I can relax on my pile o’ pillows on the bed mildly sedated with muscle relaxer and still feel somewhat accomplished.

No real snow yet, but we have been averaging 1/2 inch of rain per day, and the wind has been rocking and rolling. The temp has dropped to the high 20’s a couple of times, but mostly it has been lurking in the high 30’s - low 40’s. Weird weather for December on the Rock.

Time to get my kids up for school, I’ll nip back in later, a good day to all!

Oh, so now you’re denying how you enjoyed it, back then? :stuck_out_tongue:

And who’s talking about *choosing *here…? ::takes **Cutie **and Boo’s hands and slinks off to 304 with both in tow…::

I seem to recall you were enjoying it far too much, young man! Are you sure you can handle both of us? You know I can be very demanding…

(::OK, so how did she untie herself and get to a computer to post?::  )

Wow. Just wow.

Oh, and thanks, DB. I knew I could always count on you! BTW, Nelly looked so cute in her picture!

kai, your granddaughter is adorable. What a beautiful dress.

I’m trying to decide if I should be sending "no ice storm!’ vibes, or make MBG happy by trying to encourage ice storms.

doggio, the drunk mutt is cute. She really looks just the right combination of sick and drunk- perfect for someone who’s had too much eggnog.

How was the casserole, Haze?
Woke up out of busy dreams that prove we’ve been watching too much Doctor Who. I had to help QD and the ninth Doctor run a small baking supply shop while on the lookout for soul-stealing aliens. In a few minutes I’ll have tea, and then start on the baking.

LiLi - Casserole was lovely. I almost didn’t make it because I was really tired last night and we had leftovers we could have had for dinner, but since Cloud Maiden leaves today I want to make a proper meal for her last night. (I think I was channeling my mom.) It was actually pretty easy - I just chopped up peppers and onion, added pimentoes and cream of mushroom soup, then stirred in some cheese, shredded chicken and broken-up spaghetti noodles. (I boiled the chicken, then cooked the spaghetti in the broth. I also used some of the broth in the casserole, just to thin the mixture enough to stir more easily.) Season with spices of choice. Pour into pan, cover with more cheese, bake on 350F for about half an hour.

Where’s our ice storm? I swear, the newscasters make us think there’s going to be a second Sodom and Gomorrah, and all we get is a little sleet.

Cream of mushroom is EVIL.

It’s raining quite a bit here.

Drive by.

Hello, y’all.

Ditto.

No ice storm or rain here. Although we are eyeing Olga with a look of disbelief. I mean c’mon! It’s the RULES! Hurricane season ends in November. Sheesh!

One of my team leaders and I are trying to figure out a way to take a road trip this afternoon. It’s gorgeous and her new Lexus has a sunroof.

Tupug

You’ll get my CoM soup when you pry it from my cold dead hands!

I don’t like it on its own, but it tastes good in casseroles.

Lousy weather–I wanted DRAMA, dammit. All I got was typical Chicago bleh. BooFae–think London December weather, about 5-10 degree colder and not actively raining, but spitting upon occasion. Meh. No ice storm, snow is melting. Bah, humbug. Re the distance stuff–it is said that only Russians, Chinese and Americans really understand distance, but I think we would have to add Australians and Canadians to that.

Tea’s dress is gorgeous–she looks cherubic! I was kinda looking for wings, actually… The color really does flatter her (although what baby isn’t adorable, eh?).

Anyway, good choice!

I have nothing of merit to add. Off to dermatologist soon after spending almost 2 hours wrapping presents. I discovered that I’ve overbought for daughter and underbought for #1 son. Also, #2 son’s stocking is slightly low. I am not spending another dime (except for nice neighbor lady who gets #2 son on the bus sometimes). They will just have to feel “unloved”.

I feel unloved. You didn’t buy anything for me!
