Things we'd like to have on our walls.

Me too, me too!

You should check out the Phillips Gallery in Washington DC. They have a room with 4 huge ones and you can get really lost in them and really close to them.

Plus they have an el Greco!

The stuffed head of a Velociraptor.

Or, failing that, a full sized reproduction of Picasso’s Guernica, in the dining room.

I’ve been thinking about continuing something that I already have done once. I have a huge bulletin board on my dining room wall that’s covered in teal blue burlap. I love that big block of color. I’ve been thinking about covering some other squares or rectangles with different textured fabrics in bold colors.

Also, my mother has a painting by a local artist that I’ve always admired. It’s very colorful and would probably work well with the squares of color I’m contemplating. She said lately that she may give it to me. In addition to that, I have an artist friend who is working on a 3D art piece for a large empty space on my living room wall. Before I know it, I’ll have more art than I know what to do with!

If I were able to afford the priceless…

Tuna Fishing and The Hallucinogenic Toreador by Salvador Dali.

The Garden of Earthly Delights and The Extraction of the Stone (The Cure of Folly) by Hieronymus Bosch.

The Eye of Silence and Europe After the Rain by Max Ernst.

And as for the slightly-less-than-priceless, a nice sword, and that poster of Frank Zappa sitting on the toilet (the photograph, not the illustration).
