Things you don't like about post(ers) topics

No, this is a polling forum. We poll people for answers.

Oh, another one that really gets to me are people who have to use swear words in their subjects. It does nothing for the subject at all, it’s as if they don’t know how to express themselves emotionally.

I hate it when people respond to a thread in such a way as to make the entire thread moot if we accept their opinion. These are people that post to Pit threads saying nothing more than, “Well, aren’t there more important things to worry about than [complaint that is the point of thread].” and GQ threads saying, “Well, you don’t need to know anyway, because . . .”

[hijack…because this isn’t specifically about topics]My pet posting peeve (as I’ve noted in other threads in the Pit, always getting a boo-hiss) is when people are mean. It’s one thing to disagree with someone, blow their arguments away, or tell them that their ideas are completely illogical. It’s another, even in the Pit I think, to call them idiots, stupid, annoying, or “goat-felchers” (whatever the hell that means…I’ve purposely avoided all definitions). It also annoys me when someone tells another poster, unless that someone is a moderator carrying out his/her duties in the prescribed fashion, that the “offending” poster should leave the boards.[/hijack]

As far as topics go, I’m with all of you who avoid the post-count pillow fight OPs.

If I post a rant about another thread or about someone’s posting style, please don’t tell me, “What are you so upset about? Just don’t open the thread, whyncha?! Hey, this is only a message board, you know! You’re getting all upset, and for nothing!”
