Things you'd like to see but you know you ain't gonna

I’ll confess to finding Spongebob funny, but I would love to see the return of unbowdlerized Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner cartoons. Once they started cutting out all the comic violence and any other politically incorrect words or pictures they became utterly pointless.

I thought the “trilogy of trilogies” plan was based on some very early development concepts of the Star Wars saga that were radically revised by the time the orginal Star Wars (a.k.a. A New Hope) script was finalized. IOW, the originally planed VII through IX no longer fit what’s been filmed.

And Lucas should be banned from directing anything, ever.

Still hoping some of that creepy stuff is still in the game. I would like to think what I saw was only a taste of what might end up to be a darker game than anticipated… I know, (from what I’ve seen), it doesn’t have the “Steampunk” look to the environments that the original artwork has… but I would still like to see a dismantled robotic Goofy that’s exterior is warn away. I think I’ll still buy the game even though I’m not a Disney fan at all, (aside from Pixar movies), if it gets reviewed well. It’s still edgier enough for me to be intrigued.

I was hoping for a Goonies 2 when the whole cast came together to do commentary for the DVD, (Chunk isn’t as plump as he once was). There was talk of a sequal, but that’s all it was.

I part of the minority that would like to see a Ghostbusters 3. I think the idea of urban ghost hunters is quite cool, and worthy of more attention. But from what I hear, Bill Murray called it “a crock”, and there’s been some dispute over whom will direct it.

An **Arrested Development **movie

That was my thought too, well, second after Mesopotamia. But I’d settle for Geo. Martin to finish the damned book already. The dragon girl was one of my favorite story arcs. I really want to see what happens when she gets back to the (k, I forget, it’s been years) home land, the western continent.

An excellent film adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.

If ever there was a chance, it would have been Tim Burton. Consider my hopes officially dashed.

A good film adaptation of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court

Or the Stars my Destination
Or any of a number of SF novels.
I’d really like to see Ellison’s script for I, Robot done, but there’s practically no chance of that.

In that vein I’d like to see a genuinly talented author who could replicate Patrick O’Briens writing carry on with the Aubery Maturin series.

I always thought the recently released computer game was the acknowledged sequel?

It’s certainly an interesting direction for the industry, anyway- The computer game Stranglehold is the sequel to the movie Hard Boiled, both directed by John Woo and starring (in voice and likeness) Chow Yun Fat as Inspector “Tequila” Yuen.

I got the PC version of that game, and then my computer broke down and I got a laptop that did’t have the power to play it. I should have went with the Wii version. :frowning:
