Goodnight, Mrs Calabash, where ever you are!
You misunderstand. For us[sub]comma[/sub] we delight be being called hypocritical douchebags. It validates our self image.
Along comes BigT to be a judgemental douchebag about others being judgemental douchebags in a thread where the OP is being a judgemental douchebag about others being judgemental douchebags.
All is right with the world.
I am fortunate enough to be able to wear what I want to work.
I spend a large amount of time on construction sites which are frequently not climate controlled. My standard summer uniform is an oversized figure-concealing tee-shirt and loose linen cargo pants…int the winter it is jeans over tights and an oversized sweatshirt or sweater.
I have found that I can make this work and still have the professional presence I need as long as my clothes are clean…one spot and I look like a slob…I check the shirts for spots every laundry and use spot removers…until the spot is gone the shirt is relegated to “hanging out at home alone” status…and I’m not talking about ink spots or major stains, I’m talking about subtle spots that are often only visible in certain lighting.
Don’t know how I’d feel about this if I was in a siituation where I had to abide by a dress code, though.
Am I too hungover to get humor today, or…? Why is it sad that someone’s crazily butthurt that people have told him that he looks like a lazy jackass when he can’t be bothered to go to work in an unstained shirt? No really, I am stupidly hungover right now, so it’s more likely that I’m missing something than not.
Is it judgemental douchebags all the way down?
Too much time in the dryer would cause his clothes to shrinky ink.
You think?
A doooo.
How is it again that the OP took 12 years to discover the essential nature of this board?
With the drought this year, the moat around his castle has gone low. He came out to have a look and finally realized there are sharks in there.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7AZIvDD5Lw analyze that.
Quiddity can, in fairness, be rather elusive.
He’ll probably just end up putting it in the wash with all of his inky clothes.
I haven’t read anything other than the topic title, but it’s enough to say this:
Get some thicker skin. No one who’s given you shit here really knows you, and you don’t know them. They’re all faceless entities on the internet to you. By no means should anything that’s posted here piss you off so much.
Now that I’ve read a little bit more, here’s this:
Don’t listen to the idiots calling you dumb for leaving a pen in the wash. Shit happens, and I severely doubt that all the people giving you crap for that have never had a dumb oversight in their lives.
That said, throw away the clothes and buy some new ones. Whether you agree with the philosophy or not, you have to dress well to put your best foot forward.
Well, they don’t call it a Pit for nothin’…
4 pages of wankery , and not one defense of why throwing away clothes isn’t stupid? Not one defense of why bullying kids of having to wear hand me downs is acceptable? color me surprised.
Perhaps you should take that as a hint.
