Being 28 the Carpenters were a bit before my time, but I’m familar with the impact that Karen’s death had on eating disorder awareness.
Happy Monday indeed! Ticking things off my to-do list at work and looking forward to my weigh in with weight watchers as I know it’s going to be a goodun.
Hmmm, now that I’ve actually read the OP I am in protest of posting here. You see, my jolly demeanor lead me to post here last night while I was a bit drunk.
You see, I live in Boston, so I was quite liquored up and uninhibited when I was dropped off at home last night. It’s all rather depressing for us kids on this side of the States you realize.
Someone please post some cat pics or something. I need the distraction.
First of all, let me say to **not-Dobby ** that I am definitely NOT a domestic goddess. Also, just because you don’t know, TVMan is my boyfriend, not my husband. We live about an hour apart and he is legally blind and doesn’t drive so I travel back and forth a couple times a week. Some weeks I wish he were my husband, other weeks I’d like to cut out his heart with a spoon. (Obscure movie reference that I’m not even sure that I fully remember.)
Second, I’m sorry, but I have never, ever liked the Carpenters. I feel about them the way that I feel about gefilte fish. Waaaaay to sappy for me.
Welcome to the MMP Illumi! Glad you could stop by. Stick around and don’t forget to send some *high-quality * chocolates to FCM.
This morning I feel extremely blah. This is probably TMI, but I feel like I’m in the PMS zone and it seems like I’m there about 2 1/2 weeks per month. It’s really getting kind of old.
I should be doing something productive instead if kibbitzing, oh well.
See above quote tag. We’re already married. How could you have forgotten?
:: pushes Noonie out of the way and goes off to sulk with **beebs ** herself::
ETA - Cutie, you beat me to it and then left me in the lurch? A pox on both your houses!!
I hope it’s just the kid who got it? A little bit young, maybe (ideally, they should be about 6 or 7 so they can understand the “don’t scratch!” bit), but it is good to get it over with!
Well, guess that means I’m available now… Boo, you here?
Yeah, it’s just the Little Prince (my wife and I both had at five years old). He seems to be doing fine so far - tfu tfu ftu - and he isn’t even scrathing that much. He’s mainy bummed about not being allowed to go to gan (preschool), but he’s also overjoyed to have mommy and/or daddy home with him full time.
I swear to God, though, one more episode of Young Einstein and I’ll… well, I’ll probably just develop a splitting headache.
I just ***know ***were going to have to start translating our in-jargon at some point… After we finish taking over the MMP and launch our program to take over the world, though…
