This is going WAY back (subliminal Disney)

This is going back to 2000 and you probably have discussed this to death but I just found this website and article so please bear with me. It was about subliminal Disney stuff. In point 5, the lion king, the SEX does not appear when Simba’s father is falling to his death but rather when Simba, Timmon and Pumba (which means “the crud under a man’s foreskin”) are talking about what the stars are. Simba walks off to the edge of a cliff and flops down. Leaves are blown in the sky (spelling out SEX) and then go off to the monkey, who figures out Simba is still alive. Check it out, it’s there. Also, you were mentioning laserdisks. I hav not seen this one myself but I was told on the laserdisk of Beauty and the Beast, when they are dancing (she’s in the yellow dress) if you watch it frame by frame, you can see the beast raping Belle. Have you heard of this? Pop up video also has sublliminal messages at the end of there shows. After the 5th (last) video, just before the credits, if you watch it frame by frame, there is a blurb that connects all five videos and a codeword that gives you more info on the videos if you enter it at their website. Please let me know of any other subliminal findings you may have.

Really? I always thought that cheesy substance found under the foreskin was called smegma, and the same stuff in a woman is called vulveeta.

Q

Here is a link to the column, Do Disney movies contain subliminal erotica?. It is not a Cecil Adams column, but rather a column by the SDSAB (what we now call Staff Reports; then called the Mailbag.

This will need to be moved to the proper forum…

So ordered.

Firstly, I didn’t say “when” he watches his father die, I said “after.” That leaves me a lot of elbow room.

Secondly, I have never seen or heard of the beast raping Belle but I stand by two points. The first being the question of what possible benefit Disney would find by putting something like that in, even subliminally. The second being that if you were just told that, I’d start talking to different people.

Yes, I guess it does give you a lot of elbow room.

I have seen the stuff in Lion King, Little Mermaid and heard the line in Aladdin, so why should I disbelieve the Beauty & the Beast stuff? And even though I saw all that in Disney, and as far as I’m concerned, it is there, I don’t see any reason for having any of that stuff in any of those movies, which makes it even more interesting that they are there at all.

PS Sorry for the incorrect posting, I’m new at this.

I know someone who saw Bigfoot once.

As a source of amusement for all the parents whose children have made them watch the disney movies many times?

This is a link to the snopes page with information on many of the things supposedly hidden in the Disney movies. IIRC, Snopes believes most of them are false.

I’ve edited the title of the thread to be a little more descriptive for those passing by…

They aren’t in the movies. They are in your imagination, which at best is seeing patterns that aren’t there, just like a cloud could look like a rabbit or a statue of Jebediah Springfield (sans head). Inner Stickler has already linked to snopes. It’s an invaluable site for checking our dubious rumors. Take some time to explore it.

Some of the stuff is imagination, but some of it really is in the movies. It’s hard to write off the topless woman in The Rescuers as a figment of one’s imagination.
