This is really fr$@%^g annoying

Same here.

For me as well. This is pretty damn annoying.

Well I guess this wooshed Pasteur target audience here Elmwood.

I couldn’t resist this.

From UrbanDictionary:

Supposedly “420” was a code used by the San Rafael police department, however, the department has always denied this. A group known as the “Waldos” claim to have originated 420 in San Rafael in 1971. The group met every day at 4:20 PM after school and eventually began to use 420 as a code for marijuana so they could talk about pot in front of parents and teachers.

IIRC, The group would meet behind a stature of Louis Pasteur.

More on topic, I use Firefox, and ::knock wood:: have yet to encounter this problem. Yet, I can only hope that “Use Chrome” is a temporary solution. We can all agree that if we HAVE to use IE here, it would not be much of a fix, correct?

Does this problem work when you just open one thread, close it, open another?

I like to do tabs as well, but, hey, if the problem is something we can fix, it just might be worth it.

Ok, I had it comming to me, I guess.

I’m now fully with the OP.

Only A lot more so.

I can deal with the fact that newer responses don’t register. Not being able to Quote people? That’s something else altogether.

I wonder if this is related, but when viewing every forum, the last post on the latest thread is supposedly at 10:06 (or somewhere around there), and it doesn’t tell me what threads have been posted to since, or when the last post was. This is really annoying as all I want to do is refresh and read what’s new, but if I don’t know what’s new, I can’t! For example, the last post in this thread, according to the main forum page (and by virtue of this being the latest thread, on the front page) is by Jack Beatty at 9:48… what the heck?

It’s fixed! or so it seems.

And here we go again.

And again, at about the same time. Coincidence ?

I had this problem this morning too. As someone noted, I use Firefox.

It does appear there’s some intermittent weirdness going on. I’ve gotten a couple of database errors myself this morning.

I’ll report it.

“It” isn’t giving me “first unread” this morning; or rather it seems to think I read everything about 15 minutes ago, not at 10:30 last evening, which is when I was in fact last online. Very annoying.

The self awareness of an advance Alzheimer patient.

It’s also not recording the latest post in the forum. I posted to the Letterman thread in the Pit after Marley, but it shows him as the last poster.
