Counting down the minutes to my weekly phone call of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Much yelling (not by or at me) will ensue as usual.
Headed out to a craft fair/arts festival/OMG that costs how much??? at the ocean front with my sweetie this afternoon.
That’s kinda why I quit doing craft shows. When someone picks up a hand-crafted and uniquely decorated mug priced at $15 and says “I can get one at WalMart for $3!!!” - well that gets old really fast. And yeah, some people grossly overprice their stuff, but in reality, a crafter is lucky to cover expenses, if you include what it costs for them to make the stuff, drive to get supplies, pay the fee to be in the show, pay for whatever they need to set up their booth, etc, etc. I have no hope of ever recovering the cost of my kiln, my wheel, my slab roller, and my tools. I’m happy to cover the cost of clay, glaze, electricity for the firing, and maybe a dollar or two per piece in payment for my time. And when it takes 3-4 hours to make and decorate an item, $2 isn’t much of an hourly rate…
Not bitching at you - just pointing out that crafters, for the most part, aren’t raking in the big bucks…
Anyway, we’re back from the gym. I’ve got $74 on my phone account that’s going to expire soon - I need to do some serious texting at 20¢ per text to burn it up. My kid is about to be inundated. Anyone else want texts from me? You can PM your number to me. 
Dunno what else I’ll do today - we shall see as it goes along.

The HFH have been extremely quiet and staying out of my way lately. That is a good thing. I got my chocolate yesterday, another good thing.
My bedroom is a mess and needs a good cleaning, not a good thing.

FCM, your work was worth every penny I paid for it. Of course I’ve seen people trying to sell dollar store stuff for $5, so maybe that’s part of the price pushback.

Howdy Y’all! I’m sittin’ here laptop at the ready waitin’ on two of my participants to come on in so I can [del]torture[/del] test 'em on how to use the participant website. Envy me. This should not take too long especially as the place I’m at has generously allowed me to use two of their computers so I can test both at once.

Except I get charged for texts I receive, too, so I can’t send you all 370… 
We’re getting the repaired laptop up to speed. It’s now got Firefox and I need to make a list of the other necessaries that need to be downloaded. Plus I need to copy some of my bookmarks from this machine. But **FCD **is playing with it right now. I’ll deal with it later.
I also want to get a mouse for it - I hate using the touch pad. I see a trip to Staples in our future.
The only thing I hate worser than the touch pad is texting with a phone keyboard - it’s so old-school!!!

Ok, back at da cave. Inputtin’ some casenotes and gonna have some N.O.L. then back out for three more appointments. I foresee havin’ those finished by around three this afternoon at which time I shall declare it the weekend just cause I can.

Crisis! Calamity!
As I was hauling yet another box into the garage, I spied a problem. Ants! We’ve got ants crawling all around, walking up and down boxes, and doing who knows what inside the boxes.
ICK!
The “good” news is it’s not a houskeeping problem - it’s weather. The rains have driven the ants to sneak in through the cracks in the garage floor. The bad news is that I don’t want to take North Carolina ants to California. We’ll have enough grief from the ag station.
I wish we still had our long-ago expired CA license plates as CA residents often get a wave to take the bypass lane, but out of state vehicles get quizzed and/or searched, depending on the mood of the inspectors and if the driver looks like they’re smuggling cacti or grapefruit.
Off to get some Raid…

I realize Californian’s are different, but I believe that it is part of the Continental US of A. Do they really stop you at the border from another state? I thought that only happened coming from Meh-he-co.
I believe they are protecting agricultural products. We were inspected somewhere that way on our vacation in the 1960’s. They don’t want insects that could damage their crops.
