This Might Be The New MMP

Sentence #2 confirms sentence #1. :o

BTW, Swampy,
Fart blossoms, Brussels sprout, fart blossoms! Nyah-nyah-nyah!

Mint Juleps are the fart blossoms of cocktails. :stuck_out_tongue:

Meh, they are okay.
Scotch and soda, now there is a cocktail!

Some shots from this weekends Cook Forest F&I event - great shot of the cannon

I take the Old Wench to the airport about 4AM and the weather clears for the weekend. Type at you all next week!

I’m sure that would be nice, if I had a smoker and wasn’t vegetarian
Might try the julep though, grumpy bears notwithstanding, or take the opportunity to learn to make a good mojito. I’m orf tonight, so booze experimentation is a def’nite possibility

Howdy from da cave! I was out at one of the places in the local forty to make sure a new participant who will be turnin’ in a timesheet for the first time tomorrow understood how to fill the thing out (she did by the way) and Stang (I drove Stang today) just insisted on headin’ for da cave, so here I am.

Dindin tonight shall be fried chikin strips, green beans, smashed N.O.T. and rolls. I have yet to make good on my promise of salmon patties but will rectify that for Sunday N.O.L. which makes OYKW happy, the spoiled brat.

It’s a grumpy day, pouring rain, I’m out of chocolate.
I finished my paperirk for the doctor and signed my renewal contract.
Now I want to pay a bill but the link in the email goes to the wrong page. I’ll have to go look up the website and try to connect to the correct page.
I wish the groceries would get here, I want chocolate!

Why would you want to dilute/ruin good scotch???
Gin or Two-keeela is the spirit ingredient equivalent of Swampy’s fart blossoms.

I have a smoker (actually two smokers, down from three) & am not a vege-meatless-eater. Ship me some sage & I’ll tell you how tasty my dinner was; include some mint & I’ll comment on the nummy cocktails, too! :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I reckon I have enough to supply this country with sage, so I may as well start shipping it overseas…

Anyway- as promised, though I still haven’t seen 'em in the fur myself, so I only have the head keeper’s pics I’ve shamelessly nicked from news sites as yet: here bekittehs!

Polka Dotted Kittehs!!! Squeeee!!!

I’ve been a busy bear. After makin’ and consumin’ dindin, the kitchen got all cleanded up and then mowage of da cave yahd ensued. I am now all showered and tahrd!

Nuts the kittehs are so keeeeeeyoooooote. When they are grown they would just as soon rip me apart as look at me, but for now keeeeeeyoooooote!

Spidey gin is the stuff two of the world’s best cocktails are made from, the gin 'n tonic and the classic and oh so sophisticated martini. So There! :stuck_out_tongue:

Off to check out a couple other things and then I foresee beddybye time in the very near future.

NiteyNite Y’all!

I worked. I was too efficient getting things done, so I got to go home early. Making some Parmesan pepper flounder(from the used meat section) with rice with sage. If only I could have used fresh sage!

“Corporal Smythe rued the day he washed the Regiment’s 12pounder in hot water.”

What The Cute One said.

:eek:You have insulted the honor of my spirits, sir. I demand satisfaction!

In Scotland, populated by reasonably intelligent persons, unlike wherever you hail from, Scotch is drunk half and half with room temperature water.

nuts, Squee!!! I love the way that they cuddle together like oversized housecats.

Sorry about the earshattering SQUEEEE!!!

No, I’m not. Wave that much cute at me and what do you expect?

I really like Mama’s expression in that one shot of her: “you can look at my babies, but don’t even think about getting closer to them”.

Happy Firday!

It’s wet and muggy outside.

I’m up too early and will probably go back to bed.

Cute kitties

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 for the day. From the way it already feels outside it’s gonna be a hyooooooomid day as well.

I logged in to check irk email as is my habit every mornin’ and there was an email from my orifice tellin’ me the a/c is out back in my part of the buildin’ due to compressor failure in two of the units. Anywho, it should be fixed at some point in time today. However, bein’ as I do not want to sit in a hot orifice, I emailed TPTB to inform of this and the fact that I shall irk from da cave today. Woe is me. I have some scheduled local visits to make this mornin’ and afternoon so it ain’t like I was goin’ to be in the orifice all day. I can do all that just as easily from da cave. So I shall be productive today.

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I must commence irk purtification. One must still be adequately groomed and coiffed after all.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Good morning!! Long day with my mom yesterday. It actually started when I stopped at my sister’s to drop of the laptop with the BSOD. I was going to stop at Clayworks, but it was too early, and I thought I’d stop on the way home, so I headed straight to Mom’s. (And I just discovered they now have a store in Alexandria, which is lots closer to us than Baltimore, so I know where to go get my clay!!)

We went over our cruise paperwork and assorted stuff, and we’re ready to go as far as all of that’s concerned - our flight, hotel, shuttle, and transport to the ship are all set, so yay! She was talking about needing luggage and she said there was a sale at Ross, but she didn’t know where one was, so I looked it up. Turns out, it’s right by her bank, and off we went.

She found a pair of bags that she liked, and a jacket, and 2 tops, and a pantsuit… and I got a couple of tops for “formal” nights on the ship. Afterwards, we went to have some lunch (crabcake - yum!!) and on the way home from that, she stopped at the library to vote, and while waiting, I got the latest in Sue Grafton’s series (I assume “W” is the latest) for $2 in hardback!

Once we got back to her house, Mom cut my hair. My sis called - BIL had fixed the laptop for me, and I talked to him. He used to work as a computer geek and he had an extra Win7 that he installed since the laptop had been XP (which is what lead to its BSOD.) I helped Mom with a few other computer things, then loaded the car, and headed out around 4-ish. I didn’t go via Clayworks, because I know better than to go into Baltimore during rush hour.

I stopped to pick up the computer and got a waaaaaaaaay too detailed report from BIL. He knows his 'puters, but he does so like to talk and talk and talk. I also delivered a couple of t-shirts that my mom sent to my sis, then I was back on the road. It was past 7:30 when I got home, and luckily, there was a container of leftovers that I warmed easily for a late supper.

It was a good day, and the drive wasn’t too terrible. Some heavy downpours and a couple of short episodes of sucky traffic, but overall, not bad. Plus I dropped off 2 afghans and 2 shawls and picked up another small bag of yarn that someone donated - it might make a lap robe. We shall see.

Later today, we meet with our financial guy to roll over FCD’s 401k. Not sure what else will be on the agenda. Maybe some rain late in the day. And I need to get some dog food, but we can do that when we’re done with the money guy. Another exciting day in southern Merrylande!!

Happy Firday!!

All purtified for the irk day. Golf shirt (is that what we’re callin’ those pullover shirts with the collar and two buttons on the front these days?), jeans, and sneaks bein’ as it’s casual Firday. I knew y’all would want to know.

You demand satisfaction? Then go have a (good) beer Mr. Jagger! :stuck_out_tongue:
Up, getting ready for irk; that is all.
