Not too bad.

not bad. could do better.

By gum, it is! I did not know that. Doing it again with that in mind and focusing on the angles instead of the sides dropped my average by 3 units on that one!

Best score: 4.15, worst: 5.35. I blame a particularly nefarious parallelogram for that one.

Can I stop after only one run-through?

Ok, let’s see how much worse I can make it. . .

Shayna, you’re putting us all to shame. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ayup. As I suspected. . .

Parallelogram 6.4 3.6 11.4
Midpoint 1.0 3.6 3.0
Bisect angle 0.2 10.0 4.4
Triangle center 1.8 8.1 3.1

Right angle 2.7 4.9 4.8
Convergence 0.0 1.4 2.2
Average error: 3.81

I think I’ll stick with my first score of 2.93 and pretend this never happened. :stuck_out_tongue:

Not so much anymore!

I’m more than a little embarrassed to admit…I had to look up parallelogram.
It’s been a long time since math class.

First time about 3.6, which made me check my monitor’s geometry settings. They were a little off and were giving me imperfect circles.

Second time through, I racked up a 2.78. (I work in graphic design.)

7.something. I think I could do better, because I kind of didn’t do the first round right.

4.73, and happy to report 0.0 on one of the convergences.

Right angle 1.5 0.6 1.5
Convergence 5.1 9.5 8.5

Average error: 4.97 (lower is better)

That was a challenge. I expect if I try again, I’ll get worse instead of better.

Eh, not so bad. First try was 3.56, second was 3.27. I seem to be consistently best at finding the center of the circle and convergences. I suck at parallelograms, and I’m erratic on angles.

(Actually, I’m shocked I did this well.)

Best scores on this computer:

3.31 jsgoddess
3.83 jsgoddess
4.10 jsgoddess
I got one perfect on a bisect angle and one 0.2 on a right angle.

Those dratted convergence scores, though. Yipes!

5.47! Woo!

Although I was terrible on the convergence one–16.8 units, yikes.

Gosh, I thought I was doing so good…and I do this for a living…and I make great right angles, apparently…but my score was a 10.83. I’ll have to try again when I’m not trying to dry fresh nail polish…yeah, that’s my excuse…

Parallelogram 2.2 8.1 5.0
Midpoint 3.2 2.2 0.0
Bisect angle 1.7 1.9 0.5
Triangle center 3.2 2.8 3.9
Circle center 2.0 2.2 2.0
Right angle 0.6 1.6 0.3
Convergence 1.4 1.0 5.0

Copped 2.42 on average. Damn you Shayna! shakes tiny fist

Seriously though, you can get a lot of mileage from crossing your eyes (helps on a lot of them, to match up points of equal distance) to make pairs of points merge, and from counting the pixel stride on the lines to figure out angles. This may or may not make me a nerd.

I need glasses. Oh, wait, I’m already wearing them. Crap.

It does. Trust me, it does.

2.79

4.33. I’ll try again in the morning, from a better monitor. And, y’know, after sleeping.
