I have to say something nice about ** Crankyasanoldman ** now.
She’s not as cranky as she makes herself out to be and seems to have a genuine interest in listening to people pour out their bleeding hearts and then offers encouragement and bits of advice.
i know, she did this for me, but so did a bunch of other people and this thread is no fair because I can’t fit them all in.
I’ll send much admiration to Swimming Riddles, because even when her life is hectic she still manages to post some of the funniest/most interesting threads I read. Plus, she has a great picture. Plus, I am still the first person to post to her Soap Flakes message board. Plus, she just seems like the kind of person someone could hang out with and not realize the amount of time that has passed.
Maybe no one will notice the screen name.
Or maybe i need a bunch of sock puppets.
I like Oldscratch because of his name and wealth of information on the Residents and his glasses.
Oh yeah and he obviously has a strong dedication to the message board if there was a period where he averaged 50 posts a day.
aaawww, shucks Zette. :: digging toe in the dirt :: You crack me up too! Now come here and give me a hug. Umm, not too tight ok. Ooof! Err, I’ll be right back…have to go to the bathroom.
I feel all fuzzy about Globe-Trotter, the former MoosieGirl. She’s a real sweetheart with the most sardonic sense of humour you may hope to find in a woman. Plus, she listens to my gibberish over ICQ every single night. That alone is worth a Gold Medal
I know it’s cheating to do two, but I have to tip my hat to Reservoir Dog for taking time out of his busy work day to chat with me, even though I have absolutely nothing to say! Thank you!
In the posts I have read, I have been impressed with Scotticher. She (I think–if you are a he, I apologize)comes across as a warm, wise person (hedging my bets). Every thime I read Scotti’s posts, I think what a great best friend she must be (settling on female).
I must tip my hunny pot to AudreyK, whose comments here are almost always warm and bright and compassionate, but who can rant on those individuals whose remarks warrant it. Audge, I would give my right arm if my daughter could grow up to be just like you.
Thank you SO much, you just made me cry (in a good way, which should settle the gender question for you-female.)
You are very sweet to say such kind things, and I have to tell you that they come at a really good time. My very best, lifelong friend Cindy discovered yesterday that her father (like an uncle to me) passed on peacefully in his sleep on Saturday night.
I hope that I am the kind of friend to her that she deserves, the kind that you think I am.
Awwww! Thank you, poopah chalupa! That’s one of the kindest things anyone’s ever said to me. I’m touched that you’d want your daughter to be like me.
I can’t name any one person. A lot of posters have given me warm fuzzies, or just made me smile for one reason or another. I’ve had a lot of good days here because to them. I’ll tell ya what: I’d like to lump them all together as one big SuperDoper, and send this SuperDoper my thanks and love. That’s probably cheating, but I don’t care.
I have to say that tatertot is always helpful, sweet, nice, friendly and just all-around great! I always enjoy reading her posts and I really, really hope to meet her someday soon.
Well, I’m going to cheat here, but I’ve got to send big warm-fuzzies out to three dopers: AudreyK, Brunetter, and TroubleAgain.
I talk to Audrey all the time, and she’s always super nice and really fun to talk to. Brunetter, was the only girl to ever put me on a crush thread. I talk to her whenever I can, and she’s just great. TroubleAgain has been really nice to me. She’s also awsome.
There used to be this poster, J---- L-------, who made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Just seeing his name made me happy - it always made me think of leprechauns dancing under the rainbow. He was the sweetest, cutest thing! But now he’s gone, and I am sad. So sad, in fact, that I’m going to Ireland next month to look for him…
