This SDMB-warm-fuzzy Game

This is a game that I just conjured up to spread nice words to ONE poster at a time. The rules are simple as they follow:

  1. You can only mention one poster (Or a set of posters who are a couple).
  2. You have to be nice. (disregard any jerk posters who don’t follow this rule)
  3. Hi Opal!

Ok, I will start with CajunMan and DrMatrix. (They are a couple.) They are two of the genuinely nice people whom I have met both being very intelligent and sharing many interests with me. Together they are a living example of gay history that really is not available to us younger gay people as most of our previous generation people have died from AIDS related causes since Stonewall. I appreciate the fact that I have met them and that we have had enough in common to maintain a friendship. :slight_smile:

Well, if it isn’t the best idea I’ve seen all week!

Choosing one person is hard, but I can give it a go!

As of late, during my time in chat, there has been one person who has consistently been making me laugh aloud, a feat rarely accomplished these days. Milossarian, this one’s for you. Trivia would not be the same without you.

Veb is a friend in deed to many people. For me, I appreciate her helpful posts…her sense of humor…and her take no prisoners kick ass attitude…

And NOBODY looks better standing next to a giant inflatable penis :cool:

I forgot to add, this isn’t a favourite poster thread. I don’t care who is your favourite, it just has to be a nice thread telling certain posters what you like about them. Sorry for the interjection. Play again. :wink:

I like Special_Kay. Her presence makes me happy, and she makes me feel wanted. I can talk to her about anything and she won’t get weirded out or anything like that, and she said I was beautiful (in an email). Nobody else has ever said that about me. Granted, I’m a guy, so that word doesn’t get used too much describing me, but it’s pretty cool.

I can only pick one person to compliment? Oh, SqrlCub, you’re making this game difficult… OK, I’ll go along with beagledave and tell Veb how smashing I think she is and how warm-and-fuzzy I felt when she told me that I “rock in all ways that matter…and last” in my blatant-plea-for-attention thread. You’re an absolute darling; that post truly helped me get through the day. :slight_smile:

I think Peta seems to be so Nice and fair adn patient (guess she HAs to be married to Phil and all…)

I have an appreciation for Ayesha for letting us in on a very personal part of her life without making like a martyr.
Thanks for helping me understand what some folk I know are going through, it makes me more considerate which I’m sure helps them too.

Um, I haven’t been here too long (I don’t think) and I don’t actually know any of these people, but in an effort to brighten somebody’s day and earn karma kredit, this one’s for Gunslinger because…

  1. I like his username.
  2. His sig mentions the Texas Rangers. I assume this does not mean the baseball team.
  3. He has a Jeep.
  4. On his website, he has pictures of a scary dog and himself kissing a fish.
  5. He likes Stephen King.
    I like most everybody else here, too, but Gunslinger popped into my head first.

He probably doesn’t remember, but he said some kind words to me. He was actually the first person at SDMB to say anything nice to me and it meant a lot. He is the reason that I still post here despite some ugly things that other posters have said to me. I was unable to thank him at the time, but I wish I could have.

Tymp is nice to newbies and an all around wonderful person!

Even though I don’t post in GD (just read sometimes), and even though I often disagree with him, I am constantly amazed at the level of patience and kindness that Triskadecamus shows.

I’m going to have to say that SILENT-BOB is a sweetums.
You all did see that he is also intelligent and strong and fears nothing.
Plus, he incited me to use my first smiley ever.

I like Demo because he made me laugh after my unfortunate second day at my new job. I can’t say how much it helped to laugh and share my embarassing day. I also appreciate how he brings it up and reminds me! :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

Anyway, thanks Demo for being there at the right time and helping me see the humor.
