This sounds like hooey!

This quote is from Cecil’s column of Nov.30, 2001: G-spot Update

“On the related subject of female ejaculation, there’s an emerging consensus that the fluid emitted by some women during orgasm isn’t just urine, as was widely thought, but rather the discharge of a female prostate gland. But no one suggests that female prostate = G-spot.”

Consensus among whom and when?
Female prostate gland??? Do you mean the skenes glands?

I thought the goal here was to fight ignorance not spread it around!

Google, “female prostate gland”.

So I guess the answers to your questions are, “Researchers” and “yep, it’s prolly the Skene’s glands all right”.

I don’t see any ignorance being spread around.

Incorrectly labelling the skenes glands as a ‘female prostate’ naturally gives rise to comparisons that are hooey. The process or mechanism of female ejaculate is still not understood nor has any conclusive research been published. I believe the quote is misleading.

Yes I am nitpicking, but I’m in a ‘pissy’ mood. Maybe I need to go and massage my female prostate.

Maybe Cecil needs to put prostate gland in quotes?
