All I’m saying is that, yes, he’s incredibly annoying. But Son in Law is a fun movie. It just is.
There simply is no liking Pauly Shore. He’s too annoying. That’s why he made Pauly Shore Must Die.
When he first hit big I thought he was pretty funny. I think that it became a case of too much too soon with him though. He was kind of one note and he kept doing it over and over again.
Steve Martin and Jim Carrey, in their most annoying roles, were not as annoying as Pauly Shore in his best role, which may very well be the biggest oxymoron on this thread.
It’s hardly like he’s the ONLY annoying comedian that’s ever walked the earth. I mean, even respectable comedians like Steve Martin and Jim Carrey can at times be very annoying.

I dunno. In the 20th Century I’d guess the title for “Most Annoying” scientist probably would go to someone like Edward Teller or Bertrand Russell. In the genteel world of superstar thinkers, they were both pretty obnoxious. Maybe not Jim Carrey-style annoying, but obnoxious.
Is that any more annoying than someone who answers a Jim Carey character question with “Larry the Cable Guy?” That guy would be a real idiot.
