The only reason I would ever do that (I don’t remember if I have) is so that other readers know the thread has been reported, so the mods’ email boxes aren’t overflowing with duplicate reports.

Well, bubastis, I’ll give you this: It is annoying if someone posts to a thread with nothing more than “This belongs in Forum X”. The rule is that if something is wrong with a post or thread, you hit the good ol’ “Report Post” button. Then a mod can decide if the thread should be moved or not. I do that myself from time to time. It’s nice and smooth and doesn’t interrupt the flow of the thread. If it gets moved, fine. If not, obviously I was wrong. No biggee either way.
Gaaah! Would you believe I actually previewed that and still missed the bad tags?
